Grace Baptist Children's Ctr

I have two children and both have been through this daycare. I have been in other daycares and none even begin to compare to the love and quality care given at Grace Children's Center. My son has been here since he was one and I couldn't be more happy with the facility. His teachers have shown love and patience with him, and have been firm, but loving with their discipline. I have never once feared for his safety, and although some of their procedures may seem strict, I know it is only for the well being of each child there. As for the negative review given about this daycare, I would have to strongly disagree. My child had the teacher that was mentioned, and she was a top notch teacher and was always prepared. She showed a Christian love that allowed my son to grow stronger in his confidence and in his own love for the Lord. My son is a loving child, but tends to have some discipline issues. I am so grateful that I have a daycare who is on top of his behavior and holds high expectations for him. I have seen my son grow up and mature in a Christian loving environment and I owe that to Grace Children's Center. The administration for this daycare is actively involved with the children. They know them all by name. (which is more than I can say for many daycares) I am sad that this is my son's last year here and wish I could keep him here forever. If you are fortunate enough to enroll your child here, you will be very pleased. Pros: small class sizes; great Christian environment more

i am currently removing my child from grace baptist daycare. i have a 2 yr old boy that has been singled out as a ""problem child"" for hiding behind a bookcase in class and breaking out of line while being transfered down a hallway.this is typical 2 yr old behavior and my child has never been considered a bad kid,he has had comments from other teachers within the school as being ""one of the best behaved in his class"".this sitation started because as i was dropping him off one morning his teacher was busy talking with another woman and did not seem interested in acknowledging my presence or watching my son, so when i complaned later in the day to the director the excuse was that she wasn't clocked in ! Within a week the BAD behavour supposedly started(what a coincidince!) its obvious that we are being ousted by a vengeful teacher whom by the way has some sort of visible chinese tatoo writing visible ,which in my opinion shows a lack of good judgment in itself,definitely not generally considered normal appearance for a CHRISTIAN woman. another concern is the lack of apparent concern for childrens safety as they walk kids to a playground within 200 ft of a extremely busy street without a fence or any barrier preventing a child from running into oncoming traffic,in addition the main entrance has a door that isnt locked and is an other open invitation for a child to get hurt, ive never seen a daycare that had such poor safety practices ,when confronted with these concerns the person in charge didnt have a legitimate answer and said it was an ""open door policy""THAT IS REDICULOUS!, an open door policy has nothing to do with a physical door being open.in conclusion i would not recommend this daycare,for what they charge there are many better options in the area... more
