Matt Giamelas makes the best turkey sandwich. Lunch here is extremely great. Turkey Sandwich on a roll is the perfect turkey sandwich. Great flavors, love the red bell pepper sauce. Most of all it is simple but somehow the best sandwich I have ever tasted. more

I love this place!!! This place has got more of a johnny rocket kind of feel, meaning its decorated like your in the 70s and 80s. Not exactly the kind of restaurant my friends and I go to at night but for lunch and breakfast it definitely is BETTER than any breakfast competitor. I love there filling breakfasts for under 6 dollars and if you get there before 11am they have a couple of great breakfast under 9 dollars including their famous 7 oz Chicken Friend Steak and 3 egg Ham Omelette!!!! I have had their eggs benedict before as well and it is really good, considering it is only 9 dollars as well which is the best priced eggs benedict I have ever had. Additionally, they have a FULL BAR available early so it is perfect after that late Friday and Saturday night for a Bloody Mary to fix the hang over. We had a young waitress on Saturday who was around our age so she understood how our previous night had been and hooked it up with the prefect Bloody Mary. Great service by the waitress and not too long of a wait. For lunch I love usually order a Hot Turkey Sandwich or the Tuna Melt which are both good. The best part about their location is that Giamela's Lamplight offers great Submarine Sandwiches that is more for your buck as compared to the Subway and Quiznos. Over all their prices are more than completely reasonable and their food is delicious. The place has a great atmosphere and has plenty of parking with usually no waiting time to sit down at a booth. I HATE places like IHOP and MIMIs where the wait is more than 30 minutes to just get seated!!! I urge everyone to try this great coffee shop!!!!! even for us younger adults! Matt Giamela from Giamela's puts extra care and time into these awesome subs. Ive been going to Lamplighter for years and happy to see you can get Giamela's subs here now. So I went into the Lamplighter on desoto & nordhoff for breakfast a couple of weeks ago and saw they had a whole section for the healthy eatin'. I ordered a work out deck that comes with egg whites and chicken breast. It was delicous, eggs were cooked perfectly, not to soft and not to hard. The famous sub shop ""Giamela's"" took over Lamplighter a while ago and definitely added some flavor here. Matt Giamela said they were making there subs here now. If you haven't tried a Giamela's sub go to Lamplighter and order a pepper steak. This puts Lamplighter now on my top 5 favorite restaurants in valley. Pros: Serving Giamela's Subs more

We stumbled across this great restaurant one afternoon; it is not in a highly traveled area, so it wasn't too busy, however the service and the food were outstanding. Great value (under $10 per person) for lunch, and generous portions made this place a new favorite for us. Their eggs benedict is fantastic, and so are many of their deli sandwiches. If you're tired of the lines at some of the other delis and diners in the valley, hop over to this place!
