I am delighted to have the opportunity to write a review on Gentle Dental in Stoughton, Mass. I have been going for a cleaning now every six months for the last Four years. Although it isn't a life long relationship I look forward to going in the front door, because I am always welcomed warmly.\r \r The office is immaculate, always in tip top order. The Office Manager, Kate sets the atmosphere of the Dental Practice, you can tell Kate is the lead person. Believe me, I have seen a lot of Managers who missed the instructions on leadership!!! \r \r The front desk staff, friendly, professional, attentive and kind. \r \r My Hygienist Linda is the best of the best. I have had cleanings for more years than I can remember. NO ONE DOES IT BETTER THAN LINDA. Linda is thorough, kind, calm, funny, beautiful and oh, so GENTLE. I leave there without cramps in my hands from holding onto the chair so tight, because the person with the pick in my mouth is like a bull in a China Shop!? \r \r This is a long review but long overdue. I hope it may help someone searching for A Gentle Dental Practice to go for help. The X-ray Tech also very gentle. You know how those things hurt you, if not placed properly. \r \r Can't forget Dr Robert Kelleher DDS, He is eloquent explaining what needs to be done, no pressure, he is very nice, smart, soft spoken.\r \r Gentle Dental if you read this sometime, THANK YOU VERY MUCH... \r \r Mary M more

This is exactly what you want from a dental office; professional, friendly and competent. What I appreciate the most is how timely they are. I don't sit around waiting for my appointment like other places. Prices that don't break the bank. more

Go to Gentle Dental in Stoughton; you won't be disappointed! 5/18/2011

I have been going to Gentle Dental in Stoughton for 10 years. During this time, I?ve been thrilled with the results and cost of all procedures and cosmetic work that I have received there. It?s amazing how the staff takes what is normally a dreadful experience and makes your feel welcome and comfortable throughout your appointment. Dr. Kelleher is truly an expert in his field. He explains everything to you in a way that you can understand and encourages you to ask questions. I trust his opinion and am confident that I have received the best dental work possible. The dental assistants are both knowledgeable and compassionate. The office receptionists are friendly, efficient and ensure that appointments are made at your best convenience. I strongly recommend going to Gentle Dental in Stoughton. You won?t be disappointed: I haven?t been! more

I wasn't afraid of dentists UNTIL I went to Gentle Dental 3/3/2011

I began seeing Dr. Farid at this office in December, 2010. I had 9 or 10 cavities that were filled between in Dec. 2010 and Jan. 2011. Within days and weeks, fillings began to fall out. Each time, I was forced to wait days, in substantial pain and unable to eat or drink anything that wasn't room temperature, as hot or cold caused shooting pain in the unfilled cavity, even breathing with my mouth open was agonizing, as the cold air hit my tooth. I had 3 fillings fall out before Jan. 11th, and was forced to make individual appointments and undergo additional injections and procedures to replace the fillings. Each time, I asked why the fillings were falling out, and no one would tell me. So, when my 4th filling fell out, on Saturday, February 26th, I was understandably upset, and once again, in pain. I contacted Gentle Dental on Monday, Feb. 28th to request an appointment, and left a voicemail. When no one returned my call, I called again on Tuesday and left a message. I was finally able to get an appointment with a different dentist, Dr. Kelleher, on Wed. March 2nd. Dr. Kelleher's assistant (Laura or Linda?) showed me into the room, I explained that my filling had fallen out and showed her the tooth, she put her hands in my mouth (without asking!) then sprayed cold air directly onto the site, I believe to shut me up, since I was asking so many questions about why the filling kept falling out. Immediately, tears came to my eyes, I said ""Ow, that hurts!"" and jerked my head away. Dr. Kelleher's assistant said, ""Sorry, I didn't mean to spray directly on it"" then FOLLOWED me with the instruments, and DID IT AGAIN. At this point I have tears streaming down my face, and I am angry and in a lot of pain (Which I stressed in my initial voice mails). She mumbles ""sorry"" again and flees! I wait, and compose myself, and finally the dentist, Dr. Kelleher, enters. He sits, and without introducing himself, says ""So I see you had a filling fall out"" and begins reclining the dental chair. I explain that it's the 4th filling I've lost and I ""can't seem to get anyone to tell me why it keeps happening."" He defensively said, ""Well I can't tell you anything, I haven't even looked in your mouth yet!"" Then he says, ""Let's do some Lidocaine so I can spray your teeth"". I said, ""I didn't think you needed lidocaine for that,"" while looking at the assistant. She crows, ""You don't need to be rude, I said I was sorry!"" Dr. Kelleher then said, ""If you're going to be nasty you can go get this done somewhere else,"" and put down his tools. I said, ""Fine, you're right"" requested my records at the front desk and left. After I drove my car out of the parking lot, I began to have trouble breathing, and was forced to pull over while I suffered from my first panic attack in almost a year. I was treated and touched by the dental assistant without my consent. When I indicated I was in pain and pulled away, she FOLLOWED ME and caused more pain. The dental practice sees no problem with this, despite the fact that this NEVER happened when I saw Dr. Farid and her assistant (even though they weren't filling my teeth properly). And in the many other appointments I had had at this office, EVERY TIME I said ""ow"" all work was stopped. This woman did not do that, and the dentist and his practice need to recognize that what she and they have done are wrong. Gentle Dental alleges that they specialize in people who are afraid of dentists - well I wasn't - until I went there. more
