What a sleazy dealership. Nothing but high pressure and lies. They dragged me all the way there (I live on the east side, so at least 60 miles round trip), then told me someone else was in the process of buying the car I wanted (but that they'd sell it to me behind her back, while she was at lunch supposedly while they were evaluating her trade-in). Most dealers have long since gotten past the old high pressure bait-and-switch; not here. The "manager" I spoke with (because I have learned long ago not to bother with the 22 year old salesman, who can't accept even an offer with "approval" from his manager) turned out to be a manager in name only, who had to run everything by HIS general manager. They basically wasted a couple hours of my time, only to refuse a very fair (less than 5% lower) offer, on the grounds that "they weren't negotiating" and "they are a one-price store" (though this is not advertised anywhere in their ads or website or at the store itself). In other words: the asking price is the final price. This is, frankly, B.S., unless this GM dealership sells all its GM stock at full list price and I do not believe that for a second. Also: consider the morals of a dealer who tells one buyer he is evaluating her trade-in -- and while she waits for this appraisal, he's trying to sell the same car to ANOTHER buyer. Both are being screwed over. Being an eastsider, I have never had dealings with Pete Baur, nor warnings from any friends who might have bought there. I won't ever be taking this long drive to bother with these high-pressure, dishonest folks inthe future! Do not waste your time and expensive gasoline for the trip.
