For most people, visiting G-boys during the Holiday season has been a wonderful tradition. Unfortunately this year, I was dreadfully disappointed. Upon our arrival we were greeted with multiple obnoxious signs which stated “$2.00 charge for tickets, (anyone older then 3 years), in order to walk through the Christmas display. Normally, there is a “donation” bin located at the entrance. This year customers are required to purchase tickets, and the donation box is located at the exit of the display. The lack of animated Christmas decorations and scenery diminished the Holiday mood within the store. I find the entrance fee inexcusable and disgusting. The products sold at Gboys are purchased from China. The markup is unbelievable. I am disturbed that the “family owned & operated store” would charge me $12.00 in order to allow myself & husband, grandparents; Aunt & Uncle experience a simple tradition with my children ( age 2 & 6 months). How is this fare or justifiable? My immediate & extended family will never visit Gboys again. There are many other establishments, and private homes which exhibit gorgeous Christmas decorations, which average income families can treasure during this season of giving, not receiving.
