Fun In Swimming/Fins

I have read positive reviews of FINS, but most are from more than one year ago so either they have declined in quality or I had the misfortune of a bad instructor. Either way after four months and $600 I am now teaching my son to swim by myself and making much better progress. Do not waste your money. more

Both of my daughters are competitive swimmers and have been with the coaches at FINS for 11 years. The program for the competitive swimmer focuses on techinque, something that is overlooked in other year-round programs. I would highly recommend FINS for all ages and skill levels. more

Fantastic in swimming is what FINS should stand for. I started my 9 month old there 10 years ago. We were so impressed with the way they taught swim safety to my child, that we took the rest of our children there too. FINS taught my kids how to love the water, how to respect the water and how to stay safe around the water. Now my kids have become part of their competitive program and they are accelling every day. Both of my sons and my nieces have learned to swim at FINS. The teachers are very knowledgeable and great with the kids. I've never had a problem finding a day and time that worked with our schedule. It is such a great feeling to know that when we open our pool next summer, I will have two confident and competent swimmers! Thanks FINS! more

Our family LOVES FINS, not only the facility, but the staff and instructors. We have been taking our children to FINS for years and we are extremely happy. FINS is so much more than just swimming laps like other places, it is vital instruction and teaching that will certainly give you an edge if you are interested in swimming competitively or simply learning this important life saving skill! more

I highly recommend FINS!! My daughter has been going there since she was two years old. We began wanting to make sure she was safe in the water and knew survival skills. They teach you way more than safety skills! She is now seven and a fantastic swimmer about to graduate to FINS top level. We never have to worry about her in the water and she has become a fantastic swimmer with skills she can use for the rest of her life. Thanks FINS! more

If you have kids that want to learn to swim, this is the place. The way they promote make the kids work hard to get to the next level. They don't waste time with mommy & me time in the water that gets no where like others. They get the kids in & going & making them water safe ASAP. more

FINS is a great swim school! I wanted to start my daughter in swimming as young as possible, so I looked all over and thought that FINS would be the best place. I was right!!! We started in the Baby Fins 1 class (mommy and me) when my daughter was only 5 months old. The instructor was very helpful and very knowledgeable about infant swimming. I was so amazed that my 5 month old was actually learning to close her eyes and hold her breath when dunked under water. She then learned to kick her feet and many other things. She is now 14 months and is just about ready for me to get out of the pool. I am looking forward to having a little fish next summer! more

We love Fun In Swimming (FINS)! My oldest, 7, has been swimming year round at FINS since she was 3. She is now swimming competitively in all 4 strokes during the summer and at the top of her age level. My 4 year old has been swimming with FINS since he turned 2 and recently caught his stride on side breathing with freestyle. I definitely attribute my children's success with swimming to the amazing instructors at FINS. I wouldn't go anywhere else for our swimming instruction. more

Fins is a fantastic swim school! The instructors care and are well trained in teaching little ones to swim. My boys both started swimming by the age of two. Fins develops programs that are designed to teach young children to swim independently, not just be comfortable in the water. Anytime my kids are swimming, we are always asked where they have learned to swim! It is such a relief going to the pool and knowing that my kids can swim and have a great time! Management staff takes ample time with clients, and does an awesome job scheduling lessons with busy families! The pools are open for year round parties for kids of all ages. We have had two parties here and they are always a success, planned with the care you would give your own! more

Fun In Swimming, known around town as FINS is a fantastic place to learn to swim or train to compete. My first child started a learn to swim program at FINS when she turned 3. I had originally put her in swimming so that she would not drown. She is now 7 1/2 and has been swimming year round at FINS since age 3. She learned to swim and went on to learn all 4 strokes and has become a strong competitor in the pool! My son started swimming at FINS at age 2 and is now a very strong swimmer at age 4. We have LOVED every one of our instructors/coaches at FINS. They really do care about each child's progress. Scheduling has been easy with all of the friendly faces behind the counter. I have compared FINS learn to swim program with others and would never think of leaving! They're the best! more
