Tasty food and excellent setting 6/20/2007

This cafe is cute and delicious. Despite the line, it's worth the wait for a beautiful latte and a morning pastry. Bread pudding is also amazing and inexpensive. The deserts here are a star. Also the outdoor sidewalk tables are great for sitting alfresco with friends and sip champagne and cheese in the afternoon. more

Delicious 4/18/2007

Not being native to Miami, I can't vouch for this being the best bakery in the city, but it's definitely the best I?ve visited. Pros: Quality food in a great location with very nice ambiance more

FANTASTIC! 4/5/2007

This fun neighborhood place is one of the ""jewels"" of Miami. Pros: Yummy quiche - Great value more

GREAT LOOKING AND TASTY CREATIONS! 3/28/2007

I took a lemon meringue cake from The French Bakery to a farewell party yesterday, and every single person loved it...it looked amazing; creatively done, which was why I picked it up immediately. And it was rich, and delicious to taste...Finally, a great bakery in Miami! Pros: Great more

Superb Bakery with an original French twist 3/20/2007

Every bit as good as the bakeries in France. Don't worry about the line, it moves quickly. You must try one of the morning pastries, but everything we tasted here was excellent. Pros: Baked goods, coffee, service, ambience, everyhting! more

Much like Bay Harbor Islands, this place is an absolute gem 3/9/2007

The French Bakery is an anomaly in Miami in that the restaurant is consistently great. There's nothing on the menu I wouldn't recommend, the wine list is inventive and extensive, the cheeses are of a variety and quality you don't find outside of France, and the food is fresh, fresh, fresh. Fun place to people watch, and you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air of Bay Harbor Islands, too. This place is a gem. Make sure to check out the daily specials, the salami manchego wrap is out of this world. Pros: Consistently good quality fresh food Cons: Menu is limited in items served more

Tasty treats 12/12/2006

All the baked goods are not only beautiful, but delicious too. The cakes and breads are better than any place else. Try some of the delicious sandwiches. Everything is so fresh, you won't believe it. It's a friendly place with great selections and prices. You can even order enough for a picnic on the beach. Don't forget to bring some pastries home for later. Delicious. Pros: delicious, variety, fresh food Cons: zero more

Love it! 10/16/2006

For years I lived in Paris and no where have I found a croissant that is even close to tasting like a real French one. Here, it tastes like its from my corner Parisian bakery. Pros: Tasty, desserts, smells delicious! Cons: Slow service, limited seating more

Best in Miami! 9/18/2006

This is such a pretty little bakery, it lightens my mood just stepping inside. Stop in for a cup of coffee and a rich, buttery, flaky croissant and you'll not be disappointed. Pretty, perfectly cut and arranged cookies and pastries stand out in the display case. Beautifully decorated cakes are also on display around the bakery, tempting you to find an excuse to have a party so you can take one home. Pros: taste pastries sandwich coffee more

Favorite bakery in Miami MUST GO to The French Bakery 8/25/2006

This is my favorite place to bring people when they come to visit Miami. It not only is an incredible bakery (my favorite is the banana tart, or the ham and cheese croissant, or the spectacular brioche bread pudding) with superb coffee, but it also has the most attractive clientele and the best people watching outside too! Pros: Great food reasonable prices Cons: Parking slow service more

I love this cafe....I am a loyal customer of this lovely bakery since they opened... Pros: great pasta, salads, sandwiches and soups. bread Cons: location more

Absolute top quality food and great presentation 8/16/2006

We had a wonderful lunch here: pasta, salad, soup, sandwich. All were delicious. Their breads and desserts are outstanding and most of their vegetables for salads are organic. For dessert Ive got to sample the creme brulee and apple tart and both were smashing! Pros: great food delicious sandwiches soups and salads desserts breads Cons: parking more

Best bakery around Miami great cupcakes 8/12/2006

I found this bakery by chance. We went to a wedding. The cake was beautiful. To our suprise, it was also delicious. It was from The French Bakery. We visited the Bakery, it was a site to behold!! The cakes are a pleasure to the eyes and the taste buds. When we have ordered special cakes, the chefs make each one more amazing than the last. My favorite is the apricot tart. My husband is partial to the chocolate mousse. Or, maybe we like the individual desserts the best, it's hard to choose. If you haven't tried this bakery, you are missing out. It is the best we have found. My husband is a pretty picky man. At The French Bakery he never fails to find something he loves. more

Wonderful local Bakery and Cafe 7/14/2006

Divine, delectable, delicious!! This little heaven on earth holds so many tantalizing treats; you won't know which to choose. In the event that this dilemma occurs, do what I do friends --- get 2 or 3. Pros: Quality Presentation Flavor more

overpriced! 7/27/2002

buy the bread, don't stay for dinner. after being ignored by my waiter, who was chatting three feet from me at the next table, i finally opted for one of the cheaper entrees, roasted chicken breast in a mustard sauce ($15.95). the chicken arrived and it was the tiniest chicken breast i have ever seen drowning in a moat of sauce and flanked by a small mound of burned, cold roasted potatoes. the chicken itself was delicious but the price tag was frightening for what was offered. i received an additional shock when my bill came... the pinot grigio i had ordered was a whopping $10/glass. you expect to pay these prices for top quality and service in fine dining establishment. sitting outside at a plastic table on the sidewalk or inside next to the bakery counter..well, i can't imagine any reason why i'd go back. more
