We have tried this restaurant a few times before and they just can't get it right. We ordered three different entrees and all are flavorless. The steamed dumplings tasted stale....

Excellent Crab Rangoon 8/28/2008

Food: Very Good. I had the Chow Fun with Shrimps & Chicken. It was very good. Others had Beef in Spicy Garlic Sauce and Orange Beef, both were very pleased. We started with Crab Rangoon. It was perfect. Not greasy at all.\r \r Selection: They had a wide selection of over 200 items!\r \r Service: The tables are set, they just put the cutlery and napkins in pile and let you fend for yourself. \r \r $: Good value\r \r Cleanliness: Very clean, including the bathrooms.\r \r Ambiance: Nicely done, some oriental restaurants are gaudy, but this is very pleasant. They do a lot of take out business. \r \r Come again: This was our second visit and will probably go again. more

Potstickers and egg rolls good, but entrees very average 10/15/2007

Ordered the sesame chicken, mongolian beef, kung pao chicken and chicken fried rice. I don't mean to be harsh, but I could make more flavorful mongolian beef and kung pao chicken. No one in the group enjoyed them. They were sub-par. The sesame chicken and fried rice were fine. \r \r I don't recommend it. I am sure there are better places in the area. more

Is there another place for Chinese Cusine? 8/23/2007

In my opinion this is one of the best Chinese Cusine restaurants I have been to in the Northwest Suburbs.\r The food is excellent, reasonably priced, and the entire staff is extremely friendly.\r \r They have never made a single mistake on my order (dining in or takeout) and service is excellent.\r Plus they will just about customize any entree or dinner to your preference (and I love everything to be very spicy).\r \r For years I have been ordering from their restaurant (mostly takeout) almost weekly and I have never been disappointed with the quality, or quantity of food.\r \r Honestly, if I have a taste for Chinese Cusine... I can't think of any other place I'd rather (or would want to) go!\r Pros: Everything, from the food to the atmosphere Cons: Parking is a little tough because the lot is small... but well worth the trip. more

Horrible, bland food 7/9/2007

We have tried this restaurant a few times before and they just can't get it right. We ordered three different entrees and all are flavorless. The steamed dumplings tasted stale. Edible but not tasty. Beef lo mein was not made with lo mein noodles but raman noodles. \r Very pricey, definitely not worth it. Chain Chinese food stores are far superior and a better value. I would not recommend this restaurant.\r (I normally do not review restaurants, but joined Citysearch solely for the purpose of this review, as I was so disappointed and feel robbed of my money by this restaurant.) Cons: Everything, horrible food and overpriced. more

Great chinese food 12/3/2004

This place is a bit more upscale than ""Heng Wing"" over on Palatine. The atmosphere & food both seem slightly more modern. They have many of the classic dishes here, but they have some other interesting stuff as well. ...and if you like sesame chicken, then definitely go here -- its the best I've had in years. more
