Forney Modern Dentistry And Orthodontics

I am a nurse, so I am pretty particular with my medical needs. A few years ago a had a horrible dental experience (with another dental office in Rockwall) which left me very anxious when the time came to schedule an appointment. From the moment I called, I felt comfortable. The front desk staff were very kind and informative before and after my appointment. Dr. Zachary Ross was AMAZING! He and his staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and confident in the care in which I was receiving. They were very thorough with my exam and xrays. Due to the nature of my dental issue, I was at their office for approximately 3 hours. During this time, I never felt anxious, fearful nor did I have any hesitations about my care. They presented me with different options and even gave me their personal and medical opinions which helped me decide on a care plan. During this appointment, I needed to have a broken crown removed and replaced. This tooth was one of my front facing teeth, so it was crucial that the replacement matched my other teeth. With careful removal and precise design, Dr. Ross was able to create a crown that matched my teeth perfectly! The color, shape and feel blends in perfectly with my other teeth! I was fearful that he wouldn't be able to match the colors or shape; I was wrong! He is masterful and sees dentistry as an art! I was impressed that they were able to do all of this in just one appointment, and was grateful I didn't have to wait days to get the permanent crown placed. I will continue to use Forney Modern Dentistry for the dental needs of myself and family. more

I am a patient there and I went in for services. I'll admit, as far as services are concerned, you get great service. I have no complaints there. But, what I do have a problem with are the prices. Their prices are through the roof. I called several other dentists and got quotes for dental work and Forney Modern was higher than all of the other dental offices. This may be because the are new and the rental office lease is high....I don't know. But they need to lower their prices some if they plan to stay competitive. Someone there needs to do some area marketing to see what other offices are charging. more

I would highly recommend the services of Forney Modern Dentistry. From Dr. Shirley to the staff of Forney Modern Dentisty I have received excellent care each and everytime that I have been in. In all of my dealings with Doctors over the years I was pleasantly surprised at knowing exactly what was going on with my Dentistry needs. There has not been a surprise, they are very comprehensive with their approach of letting you know of each of the procedures that you need to have and the cost, what your insurance will pay and what portion is yours. I have had to have extensive work done and it has been peaceful to know exactly what to expect all the way around especially in these economical times. I was amazed to receive a crown in just one day. The workmanship of the crown is astonishing, you can not tell which is my regular tooth and which is my crown. I just want to say thank you to Dr. Shirley and her staff for everything they have done for me and I am glad that they have joined us here in Forney. Thank you. Becky more

I received the most comprehensive dental exam of my life...exactly what I was looking for! Dr. Shirley was great! She pointed out potential problems that other dentists either overlooked, or simply neglected to inform me about. The entire staff was friendly and cordial and the office was immaculately clean. I have access to dentists within 0.5 miles of my residence, but I drive 20 miles just to see Dr. Shirley and it is well worth it. A. Lee, Sachse, TX more

Good: The assistant was very nice. That all.. Bad: The doctor was rough!!!!I have never had a shot hurt that bad, my crown looks awful, I was there 5 hours my first visit and 3 hours my second visit. It is very high pressure sales. This is suppost to be a healthcare place not a car dealership. The entire staff looks exhausted and they were all running around trying to figure out who was were.Dr.SHirley would would be in the middle ofmy procedure and she would just up and leave the room and i would be laying back choking!!. Improvements: I dont care what improvements they make I will NEVER go back and it is my mission to make sure other people know awful this plce is.. more
