Foothills Pediatrics

I normally do not take the time to write many reviews...but I thought I would share my positive experience. I have been taking my 2 children to Foothills Pediatrics since we moved here in 2005. We went to the Henderson location until they opened a new one closer to us on Fort Apache. This location has always been fine... I have had very good experienced with Dr. Garcia there and the PA. My husband however has does not feel the same. He does not care for the way that Dr. Moore has been less than pleasant with him. The medical care has always been excellent though and the staff friendly. My daughter needing a sports physical for school is what prompted this review. We were not able to get in to our location in a timely manner, so I made an appt in Summerlin with Dr. Webber. We have seen her one other time when I needed an appointment right away. When looking up directions to that location, I came across a very BAD review of this office. Both times we have been there ALL staff was very friendly and professional. Dr. Webber took plenty of time to speak to myself AND my 11 year old daughter. She did not rush or allow herself to seem disinterested. I am actually considering transferring our records to their office, despite the fact that it is significantly farther away. Though, in general wait times can seem long at all of the locations, we got the physical and 2 immunizations in about an hour! Please don't let reviews that are to the extreme in the negative sway you from giving these doctors a try. Those who have such bad experiences are often defensive of their own radical choices in healthcare for their children, or are completely unaware that they may actually be difficult to deal with and defensive all the time. more

Foothills Pediatrics is a great doctor's office. The office staff is always warm and smiling. I don't know how they seem to remember everyone but they do. The office staff is very accomadating. It's always extremely clean and I love how they have separate waiting areas for sick and well children. There's even a teen tv room if you have older children that do not like the sesame street shows that they play in the waiting room. The physicians are knowledgeable, friendly, and always make my children smile. We have more experience seeing Dr. Wilson. He has always been very reassuring during my mommy meltdown moments, during my ""new"" mom moments with my 1st child (when I was sure my baby always had some obscure baby disease), and now that I have 3 children, he never seems bothered by the fact that I still have questions. He's supportive of breastfeeding, and has never given my child antibiotics for a 'virus"" that doesn't need them. Dr. Godwin we have seen a few times and she is very sweet and thorough. The nurses at this office are very kind and always speak to the children instead of just to me. They are quick and gentle when giving shots, and always call me back quickly with answers to my questions. I just cant say enough positive things about this office. The wait times are always great. I don't think I've ever sat in the waiting room more than 15 minutes. Well, I hope this helps if you're considering this pediatricians office. Pros: wait times, office staff, ambience, great nurses, excellent physicians Cons: no tv's in the rooms..lol more
