As a parent whose child is transported by F&S, I can clearly see that F&S does not communicate effectively with its drivers, the schools, nor the parents. They overextend their drivers so that sometimes they are unable to pick up students at their scheduled times. Every time (not kidding here-- EVERY time) my child has been ill, and I've contacted F&S to cancel bus service for the day, the morning bus driver still shows up at our house. From the teachers, I've learned that the drivers who pick up from the school are completely unaware that my child wasn't in school. What a waste of time, energy, and fuel. It turns out the best way to contact the drivers is to call them on their *personal* cell phones.
If you start off the school year receiving a letter that your child will be transported by F&S, I'd call the school immediately and request a different bus service.
Just to clarify, my child is enrolled with the Lincoln Intermediate Unit (LIU), and bus service comes directly to our house to pick up my child rather than my child going to a bus stop.
I'd give F&S a zero rating if I could, but if anything, this one star should go to the drivers because they are the only redeeming quality. Nothing but good experience with the drivers themselves.
