I go to this used CD store all the time and always find great bargains. The merchandise circulates consistently so that you don't find the same CDs there every time you go in. They offer excellent trade-in value especially for store credit. They also sell used DVDs there which can also result in great bargains. more

Long Live The Empire! 8/18/2005

Empire Discs is one of the best places to kill time on the Island, no matter what kind of music you enjoy. They are open until midnight, seven days a week and have the largest selection of new & used music that I have ever seen. It also doesn't matter what your budget is, because there are bins of discs that are 4 for $1. The staff is reserved but helpful and I never fail to find something cool to buy. more

a great place to browse 8/5/2005

This is the best used CD shop in the area. The prices aren't great, especially when you consider you can download entire discs online for 10 bucks or so. But it's a fun place to check out old and new CDs. The best place to look is in the new arrival bins in the front of the store. It's 99 percent trash - who needs anything by De Barge, ever? But there are lots of little hidden gems in there, including obscure CDs that are not always available in online music stores. This is also a great place to kill some time if you're waiting for a hair cut at Super Cuts. more
