The Scene
Located below the UC campus, China Food features one of Cincinnati's great dining rarities: a parking lot. But despite the inviting lot and spacious dining room China Food's main business comes from its carryout counter. Students, Clifton and Corryville residents, and anyone else with a craving for fast Chinese food frequent the place throughout the day.
The Food
It's not fancy. There are a few high-falutin' menu choices, like kung pao squid and crispy duck, but for the most part the menu relies on the old standards like moo goo gai pan, Szechwan beef and moo shu pork. Portions are big for dine-in and carryout, though dine-in prices average about three bucks more than the carryout equivalent.
