Arrogant and Rude 3/12/2012

The problem with Dr. Low is that he has a high opinion of himself and his little Stanford education which is the first thing he will let his patient know. He feels his above mistakes even when it is obvious that he is wrong and he can never apologize. He need to retire because I don't know how many people still entrust their eyes to him when he cannot see properly himself. more

TERRIBLE DIRTY 9/7/2011

this doctor was terrible the office was dirty hoarder files kept all over the floor run and dont look back more

terrible doctor 5/17/2010

I got an eye infection 2 days after the exam in this gross office. Also he wouldn't give me my prescription so I could get my glasses elsewhere. And most amazing....he said that i did not have a detached retina although the last 2 eye doctors that I went to were quite concerned about it. He should retire! more

Run, don't walk to any other eye doc... 6/18/2009

Pompous and arrogant. You are unlikely to meet another person with such a high opinion of himself. "An opinion-molder and influential member of the community" is a direct quote of the "great" man himself. Bring a barf bag! more

The best in his profession! 2/24/2009

I have went to 2 other eye doctors and let me tell you they were by far incompetent compared to Dr Warren Low. His eye exams are the best of the best and he has more class than any man I have ever met. If you dont have any then you would have issues with him. I fly from Colorado.I do spend 400 to fly for my eye tests. I know I am in the best of hands for my eyes! I have had two doctor make mistakes just on prescriptions.Dr Low is by far the best at prescriptions and I highly recommend his services. Dr Low has been my eye professional for over 20 years so I guess I know alittile bit about him. I tried 2 other eye doctors in Colorado they both made big mistakes and now I know why Presidents! have had him do there eye tests... CLASS and Professional all the way!! SEE YOU SOON DR LOW!!!!! more

I had a very good experience. Dr. Low does a comprehensive examination and is very good at diagnostics. more

Exceptionally comptent 1/28/2009

Good: Dr Low's competence.. Bad: Having to acquire my glasses from Dr. Low's office. I would have preferred a broader selection.. Improvements: An updated office with less visible paperwork.. more

Rude Dr. and Office staff 11/21/2008

So rude with me and my teen daughter in 04/08. 6 months later, I am still angry with the incompetant man and his rude office staff. I did not want to order new lenses, I just wanted a written prescription. I was given numbers that were weaker than my current lenses even though he said my eyes had gotten worse. Also was charged for lenses not requested. Fought w/staff to get charge off. 'Gave' me and my daughter some drops for dry eyes. Upon leaving I was charged $20 for each bottle. Avoid this office! more

Lomita 4/22/2007

I stopped in to the office of Dr. Warren Low, an optometrist in Lomita, CA. I asked for information, only, about getting a prescription for extended wear contact lenses, extended wear, for astigmatism. I also asked if someone would be patient and helpful for the fitting. He said yes to all of this, but then whisked me into the exam room without my decision. Since it was close to my home, I thought it would be OK, but he seemed very strange and was quite elderly. During the brief exam, he actually literally yelled at me some 4-5 times for no reason whatsoever, and demonstrated impatience and exceeding incompetence. I was shaken by this, and did not know what to do. At the conclusion, he gave me (actually they were hesistant about giving me my prescription but mailed it), an improper Rx and announced it could only be for regular lenses which required daily care. I was stunned at this and more so the price, for one pair:$240. I paid the exam fee, and after I left I realized that I did not get what was contracted. I politely called and left a message to please reimburse my exam fee. After two weeks, with no response, I used a mediator and after another 6 weeks received their final statement: they called me a liar concerning the yelling, and justified their exam. I had to find a different eye doctor who was very kind, helpful and patient, and he prescribed monthly lenses for astigmatism. This new doctor and his associate, plus other posts, all say the same as me: that Mr. Low is rude, impatient, and incompetent and filled with ego. What makes it very hard is that I could not afford his and a new doctor's fees. I am unable to understand why $65 means so much to this doctor. I am very displeased with the service of him and his staff. Even the prescription he gave to me lists the area code as 213, when in fact it was changed to 310 in 1991. Please do not ever go to this doctor for any reason whatsoever; he is that bad. more

Highly Distinguished MEANIE! 8/2/2005

This man is a highly distinguished, honored, educated and much-awarded Optometrist who has been in the eyecare business for centuries...and he is also probably one of the most inconsiderate and crass individuals I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with in a professional setting. He screamed at my children for squirming while he examined my eyes; he screamed at me for not following his directions properly and he seemed awfully confused and unsure of what he was doing. I had to visit him on THREE occasions to get the proper lenses (he kept making mistakes) and at the end, I honestly couldn't believe I had endured what I had endured with this man. Unless you enjoy gruff treatment, cramped, dated offices and return visits due to errors, please look elsewhere for eyecare! My son STILL talks about "that mean Eye Doctor" and it's been almost a year!!!! :( His office staff was apologetic and genial, but even they seemed like they had had their fill of Dr. Low. more
