Downunder Club

Living in the Bountiful area this is your only choice. \r The bar is nice enough. Love the free shuffleboard. Drinks are too expensive. I guess they figure they got you by the balls there. Where else you gonna go? Some chick bartrnder was mean ass hell when we arrived, but was replaced by some really cool dude. \r The outdoor smoking area is nice. Beer prices seriously need to come down and this place would be great. more

a bar in Bountiful is unique in itself and great service\r is always a treat. Melissa is great. The newest bartender Melissa is amazing, not only is she incredible scenery, her service kicks a@#!!! Make sure you go when she is working, which is usually day shifts unless its sunday or wed. I used to frequent this bar multiple times a week. But after some changes in staff the place has gone down hill. Mike is by far the worst server I have ever dealt with ge is more concerned with hitting on women than tending to the line of customers. The door man mark is equally as rude. When will the owner come to his senses and get rid of them. The drinks are fairly priced and that is about the only good thing to say about this place. more

It is a bright, airy local type bar that pulls people from the surrounding communities. Fri & Sat night usually has live entertainment that is sometimes quite good and there is never a cover charge. 3 pool tables, 2 dart boards, a shuffle board table and a few video games. And the bartenders have darts you can use if you forgot your own. There is a covered and heated patio for the smokers and those who don't mind the smell, And they carry a wider selection of alcohol than you would expect for a smaller club, as they cater to the entire community. Not even the owner can predict what kind of night it will be, sometimes the place seems to be filled with college age kids and other nights 40 is the average age. The fantastic Mexican food from Cafe' Alicia's is delivered quickly with no service fees. Overall the 'Under' is a great friendly place to hang out after work, for a Sunday game or to have fun on a weekend. more

Great place for a beer. No club music. Awesome mexican food upstairs before you drive home. Sadly I must jump on the bandwagon... Mike is a total douche. Can't pour a beer or communicate to people. He went on a power trip and kicked a bunch of us out on a weekend for being too loud. We hadn't even gotten drunk yet! No warnings just get out or i'm calling the cops. We took our money somewhere else. more

I heard the down under was really fun so me and a friend decided to stop by. It was a nice atmosphere and everyone there was really friendly and made us feel right at home. The drinks were good, fair in price i just felt the the bar tender wanted us to leave the whole time. It made me feel like he did not want us there and he even started to ignore us and not give us drinks. Then... i picked a song and was enjoying it and he turned it off! I loved the place but do not think much of the service. I think his name was mike, maybe he is new at bartending who knows. Other then that it was pretty nice. I have never felt so welcome in a bar, this bar is so much fun! You defiantly need to check this place out! Everyone will make you feel right at home. Comfy chairs, pool tables, live bands and the smoking patio is unbelievable! I have never seen one like it! Go out for a smoke and its just as warm outside as it is inside. Awesome! The staff is great, however there is one employee you should avoid! If you decide to come check this place out and you walk in and Mike is bartending just turn around and walk right back out. I personally have been meaning to ask for his work schedule so I can know the nights that I wont be there! If you want the awesome down under experience you wont get it if Mike is working! This guy will run people out constantly! I don?t think he knows that bartending is customer service and he has no clue what customer service means! He may know how to make a drink but he would rather lose his employer (love that guy by the way!) money! I really do love this bar but you wont catch me there if Mike is working! more

Definately a must GO! There are not too many bars where the owner of the club calls you freind. I felt totally at home. Fights are not allowed down at the Under either unless you want a qhick ride to skids-ville with the owners size 10 in your backside. An at home feel with great bartenders and staff. I went there after work and ended up staying till close. The cab service knows the joint too. Patrons are friendly and hospitable. \r There is no dance floor although it doesn't seem to matter. There is live music some nights and dance where you are! There is even a grill on the deck ""Out Back"" if you want to bring you a steak and cook it there. Just ask the owner. Oh yeah!, He LOVES to be called ""The Hawn-Yawker"" .\r It's a crazy, cool place and a lot of fun. I Would recommend to anyone tall, short, rich or broke (anyone breathing). Tell em JAZZ sent ya ! The Downunder has the feel of a downtown bar but without the over crowding. The owner and the bar tenders are very friendly and with two or three visits it will be a place where ""everyone knows your name"". Pros: Inexpensive, Good Parking, Good Crowd more
