A friend and I had a coupon, so we decided to try out Don Carlos. Clean, great waitstaff, and absolutely wonderful mexican food! I highly recommend!

Cute place. Would go again. EXCELLENT Margaritas. One large will do you in - you'll need to split it. Food was good but thrown off when asked for hotsauce I received Frank's Red Hot. In a Mexican restaurant? Louisiana hot sauce on my enchiladas??...ew. They could at least portray themselves as a little more authentic and order in some Tapatio.... more

Merely OK 1/17/2004

Neither my wife cared for it. The salsa was watery and not very flavorful. The chips were thick and cold. Like most Detroit Mexican restaurants, their enchiladas are topped with cheese and do not have any sauce on top, which makes them dry. They are ununusual in that all have cheese inisde and the meat is placed on top. My wife ordered a combination plate and liked the fajita meat best of all. Cons: cold chips, watery salsa more
