Here in Lincoln at least, Dillards shoe department has the best selection of shoes. They have four designers that design footwear exclusively for Dillards and they are all fairly decent. Michelle D is designed by a Dillards relative, and I haven't been too impressed by them. HOwever, the other brands (Gianni Bini, Antonio Melani and the "Clarks-type" casual line they have) have all produced some great looking shoes that seem to last. Dillards always has huge shoe sales where the shoes are between 10 and 30 dollars...so get your Cole Haans then! more

Dillard's is a good department store, offering apparel, accessories, shoes, cosmetics, and housewares. The range of their merchandise depends on the market that you're in. Over the past few years, they have moved to establish more of their own branded apparel & shoes, under names like Westbound, Antonio Melani, Kate Landry, and many others. I avoid these unless they're on a super sale. The biggest downfall of this department store is that their pay structure (quota system) can create an uncomfortable shopping environment with pushy sales people fighting each other for sales. more

Department Store 4/17/2006

Dillards has great fashion and home decor. They have men's and women's shoes and clothing for all ages. They carry many top brands and have a great selection. They almost always have my size available so that is nice. The drawback here is that I don't feel the customer service is great. It takes awhile before anyone will come up to you and ask if you need help. Which, for some people is nice, but not for everyone. Their associates are helpful once they get to you. At times, especially during some sales, it can get quite crowded. more

The Best Shoe Department in Lincoln 3/23/2006

Dillards is your all around classic department store with normal prices and pretty good sales. The best part about this Dillards is that it houses the best women's shoe department in Lincoln. The selection is very good and Dillards has four brands specifically made for their stores, so you can almost always find a pair of unique shoes. You will pay a price for these shoes though unless you can wait until the huge sales that come around once a season. Your size might be gone by this time though, so make sure to hit the sales early for the best selection. more
