David's Bridal Strongsville OH

My self(mother of the bride), the bride and 2 bridesmaids walked into the store on a Saturday around noon. They were very busy had many appointments they were signing in. We were asked if we had a appointment, we said no we were just looking. We walked over to the brides dresses and a girl that had dresses in her arms( she was a consultant) asked if we were interested in trying something on, we said said yes and we were asked to go sign in at desk and someone would be with us. Within 10 minutes someone was with us. She took what we had and my daughter tried them on and even though one was the one she had wanted for weeks, once on none of us liked it on her. She tried on a half dozen and said I am done after the 2 that were still there that the consultant had picked out. She had one she liked but the wow factor was not there. We had decided at least it was not a waste, she found her bridemaids dresses and had a idea now of what style she liked on herself and what she did not like. So she went back in and out came a beautiful future bride we all gasp and she said this is it!! I asked her if she wanted to at least look at it, she giggled and said oh I can feel this is it and when she looked in the mirror she just lit up. She later told us she felt it as it went over her head!! She did not even see what it looked like. This was a dress that the consultant had picked out, nothing like we had looked at or that my daughter thought she wanted. Every employee we came upon was wonderful and while the bridemaids were trying on different dresses, other consultants that were waiting for their brides to come out answered all of my questions on the bridemaids dresses as our consultant was out looking for dresses. I was nervous as this is considered a department bridal store, well i can tell you I was very happy and even the bridemaids were happy and one that is getting married said she will be back to look for her dress!! more

I came here with my maid of honor and friend to get my wedding dress altered. It was a horrible experience with the main alteration worker (who apparently has been there many years). She was very rude to us.... she gave me the wrong sized slip 3x then told me that she did not have my size (10) and that It was my fault I did not buy it the week prior when I first tried it on. The last slip she actually threw at my bridesmaid....and said "" I do not have time for this"". Then I got up on the pedistal and she did not touch my dress at all.... she did not give me any options to how to bussle it.... just gave me an approximate price i would pay. How strange.... not even showing me how she would pin it up..... There are so many variations to bustling... but she was not going to go into that because she had too much to do. My bridesmaid then just said right then and there............. no thank you.... we will go somewhere else. I was almost in tears when I called Mayfield Road Davids Bridal. They were appologetic..... stated I could come in the same day and they would treat me like I should be treated. I went there and I felt like a pricess. They stated they had heard rumors about the Strongsville shop being less cordial to brides. This seamstress at the Mayfield road store took her time and showed me several ways to bustle the dress.... she was so sweet. Our treatment was like night and day. I later personally informed the Strongsville manager of the poor service we received and she really did not seem to care. Dont go there if you want your bridal dress experience to be elegant and to be treated like the princess that you are. Putting this dress on you should feel like Cinderella...... having a slip thrown to you and no one to help you put it on is rediculous..... Plus, we could have done without all the HMMMMMMMs and grunts from the seamstress. Pros: It was near my house Cons: They do not treat you with respect. You do not feel pampered at all and are left to dress yourself. Dont get it altered there if you buy it there. Go to Mayfield instead. more
