Being a bride, MOH, and bridesmade many times, as well as a 7 yr proffissional wedding planner I have worked with/shopped EVERY bridal store in the Capital region. Davids although not the worst is FAR from the best. Shoppers must be patient and only care about price. If you are a bride, mother or member of the bridal party think of Walmart. Cheep prices, ok quality for the price, pretty dresses, tons of varity, mediocre service and long waits. To save money do alterations elsewhere, a private seamstress. Be ready to try dresses on with teenagers in prom mode. No privacy and your consulant who woks on $8 an hr + commission is working with 2-3 other people at the same time. Friendly staff yes. One on one no. Oh and they sell your contact info. As a bride to be, the second you walk in you MUST register. They selll your name, #, mailing address and email, and wedding date to other wedding professionals. You will receive unwanted emails, phone calls, and mail from these people advertising their service. Good if you want contacts and do not want to spend time in the phone book or online but for those of you who already have your venue and vendors its unwanted.
