Love These Guys! 12/21/2010

Love These Guys! Just had my 6th remote start installed. My neighbor went to Worst Buy and they added all kinds of bs charges when they went to pick up their car. Not what they told her when she dropped it off. It ended up being $80 more than what Curry Audio would have been. I told her about Curry Audio and she is having her husbands car done at Curry next week.\r more

Wonderful Staff, Great Work! 11/14/2010

Wonderful Staff, Great Work!? I was referred to Curry Audio by a neighbor to get a remote starter installed in my SUV. These guys are the greatest! After that I decide to surprise my husband with a new TV hung on the wall in the living room. I shopped around and the Samsung I bought from Curry Audio was $80 less than both Best Buy and Crutchfield! We are lovini it. Thanks again for all your wonderful work. \r more

Excelent Work! Top Notch Staff!?? 11/3/2010

Excelent Work! Top Notch Staff!?? I had our home originally wired by an electrician and did I find out the hard way never to do that again! I had Curry Audio come in to connect all of my equipment and found that none of the wiring the electrician had run could be used! I should have had Curry do the pre-wire as suggested by my co-worker. The staff was awesome at taking car of everything and my home is now a smart home thanks to these guys. The home theater we had installed in the basement is amazing and my wife was even surprised! Keep up the great work! I will always recommend Curry Audio Video! more

Stay far, far away 3/15/2010

So I consult with Curry on a system for my brand new truck. I have 2 amps, they build a system around that. Double din head unit, nav, sirius adapter, ipod adapter, sub, all new speakers, the works. Pay for most of the components and wait 1.5 months for install. Get my truck back, oops, the sub supposedly got damaged (forgot to order it?) and I get to wait another week and a half. Called & requested it be next day shipped and never got a call back. I look at the radar detector they installed, coil power cord is jammed between dash and windshield. I look for the remote, no remote. I use the volume control on the steering wheel, nothing, try to plug in a usb device, no luck there either. I inspect the amps and notice that they are held down with 1/2inch sheet rock screws that only go into the carpet!!! A+ install, eh? So I have to pick up my sub still. I email with all my issues and get no response. I show to pick up sub and point out all the issues. Apparently I didn't ask for the steering wheel control kit, man am I STUPID. Where's the remote control? The $1000 stereo didn't come with one and I forgot to order one, man am I STUPID or what? Per Mike, the install is to industry standards. REALLY??? In his defense he did offer to make me an amp mounting setup at no cost and ""clean up"" the radar detector install. I politely told him that Curry would not be touching my truck and that I am taking it elsewhere to have it corrected. Since the install the Ipod jack no longer recognizes ipods and reboots them whenever they are plugged in. The thing that astonishes me the most about the whole thing is how nonchalant they were about a customer being VERY unhappy with an install. Curry, thanks for NOTHING. Pros: Supposedly High End Cons: The worst retail experience I've ever had more

A monkey with a pair of pliers could've done better 6/12/2009

Had a full installation. Amps, speakers, subs, head unit, bluetouth, etc.. They kept the car for two days but said they only needed one. They tuned the stereo terribly, the bass was way too loud and the mids and highs were way out of whack. The radio had no reception, zero radio stations, one of the ground cables for the amp was cut almost in half by the way they ran it. The head unit did not fit very well. They didn't leave me the wire to ground out to allow for dvd playback without the e-break. When i returned the vehicle they put in a powered antena but it still failed to give descent reception. I get no boston radio stations. They dropped the wire for me to ground out but it was the wrong wire. I asked them about the two problems and they said it is the right wire and that they got radio stations when they tested it! I downloaded the wiring diagram and located the proper wire to ground out. The installer had dropped the wire for the rear view camera, idiot! There is a bad ground somewhere giving me engine noise through the speakers. They also mounted the amps in a stupid place which requires the rug in my trunk to be pulled up. Terrible work and even worse customer service. I didnt want the hassle of doing it myself but i certainly should have. Now i will be working on the radio signal next, then the ground issue. Oh yea, and there were also several screws lost or not put back in my dash paneling. Just plain a-holes at this place. I'd like to visit again with a baseball bat and 6 friends!! Pros: Owner is nice Cons: Terrible installation, terrible customer service more

richard, ur opinion shouldnt even count cuz u cant even spell first of all, ur probly one of the foreigners around milford that dont know how to speak english!!! EVERYONE listen up, curry audio is (regardless to what dicck says) a VERY RELIABLE place... ive had many things installed and much work done through curry and the prices are reasonable, and the service is OUTSTANDING.. keep up the good work guys!!! Pros: great service and good, quality products Cons: people like richard that try to put the company down more

Great customer service! 3/29/2008

I'm not too sure who these poor (and dim-witted) reviews are from, but as a loyal Curry customer for a very long time (almost 6 years!) I've never had a bad experience! I've spent well into the tens of thousands of dollars at CA from a home theater to autostarters in 3 of my vehicles. Curry is a great place to shop and they stand by thier work! -Spence Pros: Staff is knowledgeable and helpful Cons: The apparently mentally challenged customers like a few of those posted here taking up space in line from those of us who actually support Curry! more

Worst service 2/4/2008

I too am a Milford residence and chose Curry to give the ""hometown business"" my business BIG MISTAKE they were to install a satelite radio, and they did...messy work..and I too had to drop my car off all day on several occasions which is very hard when you need to work! Thier attitude when asked by the sloppy work, was "" thats how it is done"" well no it is not get a clue CURRY. Anyway the service stunk donot go thier spend the extra few dollars on gas and go to Best Buy, actually thier is know one in Milford check them out near Target and Staples so donnot use Curry Pros: They have staff that have a pulse Cons: they claim to be the best but trust me they are not!!!! more

This guy must have been an idiot! 6/20/2007

This guy below is obviously an idot! Curry Audio is FANTASTIC! I have spent thousands there and they are second to no one. This guy belongs at best buy. That way he can be with his own kind. Don't forget your helmet and drewl rag when you get back into your car! Keep up the good work guys! I'll be in soon. Pros: They know what they're talking about, unlike the superstores. Cons: nothing more

Incompetence, poor disclosure, and a lack of respect for customers' time 1/1/2007

I bought a Sirius radio system for my car at Curry. The first time I left the car there they installed a scratched radio, so I had to come back for them to put it in again. The bracket they mounted it with was so whittled away that it vibrated excessively over 65MPH. They also used standard (wireless) FM modulation for the hook-up, failing to inform me that I had the option for a direct FM (wired) modulation hook up. Around MetroWest or Boston you might as well not buy it if you're not going to use the wired version. They wanted to charge me an extra $100 for this and I refused the charge as Curry had told me they put in a better wireless version that should have cost me $100. I told them to take that out and put in the wired version. The salesman agreed, but when I returned to pick up the car again they tried to charge me the $100, and they hadn't replaced the bracket. Now they wanted me to return again to fix the bracket. Fahgetaboutit! I bailed on Curry and went to Best Buy. Best Buy was 10X more professional, did the entire job right in 2 hours (as opposed to having to leave the car for an entire day multiple times at Curry), and were upfront about the options and various costs associated with them. Pros: They are in Milford, so it's closer than Best Buy for local residents. Cons: They are clueless. more
