Effingham had a new Culver's open a couple weeks ago. I have been once with my daughter to pick up lunch. In all fairness it had only been open a few days when we were there and it was so crowded. Most of the employees are young kids who were trying very hard to handle what was happening. The menu is like all Culver's-burgers, salads, sandwiches and their famous custard. On the plus side, the food was fine. I'm not big on fast food-but, my cheeseburger was better than the average fast food burger. The menu is more extensive than I realized. The custard was really good and they have a flavor of the day each day. The down side-it took forever to get our food (I'm sure that will improve). They brought out our ice cream long before the sandwiches we were taking home. We really had no choice but to eat the ice cream while we waited for our food. That didn't kill us-but, not a great idea. The biggest shock was looking up the nutritional info when I got home. If you have concerns about fat and calories-watch out! I will give it another try-overall they did very well for being new.
