My wife and I have been casually looking for a 10 year anniversary ring for over 6 years. I wanted to buy her a 5 year but we went for a 10 year instead. About 2 years ago we got more serious since our 10 year was coming up soon.\r \r After more than 50 jewelers in more than 5 states and 4 different countries we found exactly what we were looking for with Twin Cities Diamonds. Alan was more knowledgeable than any had ever been. He gave information without being pushy. We had a ton of questions that were all answered with a professional approach that made us both feel comfortable. We selected our diamonds one at a time over the next eight months without ever being hurried or pushed to make a purchase. We go to Twin City Diamonds for all of our jewelery. We first went to Twin City Diamonds when we were looking for my engagement ring. I am one of those people that needs to go everywhere before I decide where to buy. We decided to purchase my ring from Alan and his wife Terry when we realized that we could get way more for our money plus they give you awesome service. At Twin Cities Diamond I was able to get a diamond for my ring that was twice the size and better quality then anywhere else we looked for the same price. We also had Alan design my weddng band and the engagement ring. He does amazing work. Now we never go anywhere else and I only recommend people to Twin City Diamonds. We started using Twin City Diamonds or CJD, eight years ago when we got engaged. Terry and Alan have been nothing short of fabulous to work with. When we went in back then, we looked at the brass and glass ideas and nothing at that point caught our attention because I wanted something that was unique and yet functional for when we decided to start a family. Alan showed us the wax molds and then watched as our imagination took flight and we ""redesigned"" the mold, literally asking if one ring could be split into 2, the diamond be a princess versus a round and turn the diamond at an angle, etc,etc. The results were FABULOUS! I have consistently gotten rave reviews when people see my ring. We consistently bring our rings back in to have them checked and each time, say thank you to Terry, Alan and Dave. The best part is that now that we have children, I don't have to just wear a gold band, to prevent the babies from getting scratched, but can wear my whole ring. We have sent many of our friends and family members to CJD and all of them have been more than please with the service as well as the prices. Pros: SERVICE, and creativity. World class establishment!!! Not only did the staff take my needs into consideration as oppose to my check book, they exceeded my expectations well within my budget!!! I have to admit, it?s hard for me to write this review. Twin City Diamonds (Consumer Direct Jewelers) is the kind of find that you really want to keep all to yourself. But for their sake as well as yours, I guess I'm willing to share.\r \r I've worked with Twin City Diamonds on a number of specialty and custom projects. They are a rare combination of jeweler, artisan and goldsmith. The small company feel is just that, they discretely design and manufacture for some of the best known names in the business! They do all work on site, using the latest technology with people you enjoy working with. The entire staff is thoroughly skilled and take great pride in their work, finish on time as promised, even in the most challenging projects. They are flexible and helpful - not even batting an eye at last minute changes. While some of my jobs have been what I would consider small, I never had the feeling that I was taking a backseat to some of their larger clients.\r \r My most recent project with them was a custom designed anniversary ring - celebrating 20 years. The personal service and attention is re-assuring when making a large purchase on a design that has never before been made; they understand this all too well and go out of their way to help and guide. While I could have opted for the pre-fabricated unremarkable trinket from the mall or my ""friend in the diamond business"", I worked easily and personally with the staff at Twin City Diamonds to create a truly extraordinary one-of-a-kind ring with an oustanding value. \r \r Thank you Allen and Twin City Diamonds, my wife hasn't stopped smiling! My husband and I continue to return to Consumer Direct Jewelers (Twin City Diamond) as they have great prices, gorgeous pieces, and even better service (they custom-designed my wedding band, and I've since purchased safety-clasp drop pearl earrings there as well). Terry and Allen Lenz, the owners, are warm and gracious, and continue to greet us by name and even remember details you've told them from previous visits (it's amazing, really). I wanted to get my wife a nice diamond for our 30th anniversary. After searching the usual mall stores and being bombarded by sales people that didn't appear to have a clue, I came across Twin City Diamonds. No pressure, knowledgeable people, and the product was wonderful. Clearly the finest diamond I could get for the price, and my wife could design the ring onsite to exactly what she wanted it to be. Friendly people, also easy to be helped. They enjoy every customer. Also they have a great selection. Another good idea to go there is they can design anything you want with there CAD machine. more
