Covered Bridge School is a sister school to the Academy also owned and managed by Moffitt Educational Enterprises, Inc Even though some of the teachers - the ones that have been there more than a year are amazing. I would not recommend this school because of the Director. The management at this school is terrible. The Director isn?t available to parents. The Director has poor communication skills with both parents and staff. And talks down to and treats staff terribly even in front of parents and children, especially the support staff in the front office and after school, and these are individuals that the parents love and respect and are amazing. Unlike the Director they care about the children ? and not the bottom line. They let the children play outside in the afternoon of code orange and red ozone days. Even after the risk have been brought to there attention by environmental professionals. They have been investigated by Georgia Department of Agriculture for issues relating to pest control as well as Cobb County Animal Control regarding the death of class room animals. After parents turned in the proper 30 days notice the school evicted the family when the father went to pick up his son one afternoon, when he was called in that the child had a bloody nose. Neither the Director or the Owner had the decency to discuss the issue with the parents. They had their accountant follow the father to the car with the sick child (with a bleeding nose)and hand him an envelope and asked that they not return, this was 4:00pm on a Monday afternoon. Not even 24 hours notice. They only had two weeks of summer school left. Neither did the parents or the children do anything to warrant this response. How do you explain to a 5 year old child why they cannot say good by to their the friends, that they have grown up with over the last 3 years or the teachers they have loved for the last two years. Who would do that to a child? Covered Bridge Montessori School would.
