Countryside Repair

A couple of weeks ago, we took out aging GMC pickup truck for service. Scott gently informed us that all things have to come to an end, and recommended that we don't really want him to fix it any more. Yesterday, we had Countryside look at another truck we were looking to buy. The list of recommended repairs was longer than I imagined it could be, so we passed on the purchase. Scott could have fixed everything we asked him to, but chose to have less to do today and have a happier customer tomorrow. A good mechanic is a good thing. An honorable business that does good work is outstanding. I have trusted Countryside with my business and personal vehicles for more than 20 years and would recommend them to anyone. more

We purchased a 5-year old car from a large local dealership. The dealership told me the car had gone through a complete inspection as they were required to meet certain standards e.g. if the brakes were bad they had to replace them (which they had, along with the rotors). The dealership also told me the car had not been in an accident and it had a clean CarFax report. Regardless, I brought the car into Countryside Repair for a Pre-Buy inspection. They found that the right wiper didn't even rest on the windshield. In addition, they found: the front left parking light was hanging by 1 clip (missing 2); the front left wheel-well was missing; there was overspray on the underside of the front bumper and along the front side panel; the back left tire was cupping (wearing abnormally as compared to the other tires); the drive door was slightly out of alignment. This all lead them to suspect the car had been in some kind of accident. With this information I was able to return to the dealership (the car came with a 5-day return policy) and we are working out the details to rectify this situation. I have 3 older vehicles, '89, '95 and '06, 4 wheel, all wheel, rear wheel, diesel and gas, trucks and car. They can do it all. Service oriented, clear and honest. My only complaint, I'm not the only one that knows what a gem to have in the neighborhood...always busy. more

We have taken our vehicles to Countryside for several years and it is because they are 100% trustworthy and do an excellent job. Several years ago they were able to trouble shoot and fix a problem that one of our vehicles had and had supposedly been fixed by Stillwater Motors two times and several hundred dollars later! Scott always does his best to get our cars serviced as soon as possible and while getting the oil changed I can get my walk in for the day :) They are the ABSOLUTE BEST and I often recommend them to friends.
