Cornelius 9 Cinemas

As a former employee here, i witnessed first hand the many, many health code violations here. Employee's rarely if ever wash their hands. Popcorn is "scooped" with the bucket itself into the poppers. Vents above the concession stands are filled with black lint/dirt/dust/hair, and can be seen from the counter. Expired food/beverages, are still being sold. And to top if off, they recycle the previous nights popcorn into the warmer at the start of the day, Popcorn that is stored in black garbage bags. Managers and Owner are all aware of these problems, but just look past it. However, if they fail to Rip your tickets, you can bring them up to the box office and claim you "never saw your movie" for a full refund, or at least new tickets to another movie. more

Say you want to see a movie and you live in Beaverton or Hillsboro. It's a popular movie and you waited until right before show time to go buy your tickets. The parking lots at the theater are packed, the lines are long and you are feeling like the only seats you will find are in the very front row. This is a great time to drive a few miles west and hit the Cornelius Cinema. This place shows all the latest movies but...and this is a big but....it is usually not near as crowded as the Regal and Century Theaters of nearby cities. Cornelius doesn't have a lot of fancy extras. The same guy who sells you your ticket might also pop you your popcorn. That's okay. You are here to see a movie. There are usually plenty of extra seats as well. Ive seen some really great movies there and have never felt jilted by quality or lack thereof. Also, an extra benefit is that Cornelius tickets are usually a buck or two cheaper. Now you wont feel as guilty about that hot dog you bought. more

I really love this out of the way theatre because it is not nearly as packed as those closer in. Even on opening day of a much anticipated movie it is possible to get in. I also love the lower priced matinee's before 5:00 pm. I was honored on mother's day with a complimentary box of candy, sweet! more

We go to a lot of movies with a family of four. Cornelius 9 Cinemas has always been clean. So many other cinemas are in such a rush to get you into the movie, that they only do a quickie type clean. The floors are always sticky etc. We have never gotten this at Cornelius 9. It is never packed, and always has the newest movies playing. It is convienent to attend, and a pleasure while we are there. more
