Having grown up in FL with a Cuban father, I am grateful to have a Cuban flair close to home. I have enjoyed every meal I have gotten at Conga's! At times service is a little slow, but that is authentic Cuban doings. We Cubans do things in a relaxed manner, including eating and serving people. This is so they can enjoy their dining experience without being bothered all the time by waitstaff. So understand the culture before you bash the restaurant! Go enjoy the relaxation and the nightlife Conga's has to offer. Pros: food, price more

First impression wasn't too promising...small, little to no decor... But I was curious. Arroz con Pollo was good, expected more flavorful food, but they may prepare it "exactly right" for all my southern taste buds know! I was markedly disappointed by the amount of chicken in my arroz. Very few, small shreds of dark meat chicken was all that mingled with my rice, seasoned with carrots, peas, and onions. I'm glad I had the forsight to ask for any different sauces that might be available to try. Needed some spice for me, otherwise bland. I also questioned the portion size for $7. The Manager(?) was not friendly, quite rude actually. The Triangle doesn't have many opportunities to try such cuisine. I'll probably go back...it's close to work. I'll keep you posted. Pros: different, relatively healthy Cons: customer service, value, decor more

I have been here twice for dinner. Each time the service was attentive. The food was well prepared and seemed authentic (at least similar to what I got in Miami). I especially liked the personal paella (I must admit I never had paella in Miami). I didn't have desert, though I am dying to try the Key Lime Pie. I had PLENTY to eat with my main course. Of course it is easy to park compared to many places All-in-all I found everything well done any tasty as well as a good value Pros: Good food, some things che, easy parking more

Your seated as soon as you get there. The waitress are extremely friendly and are always making great conversations with all of the costumers. The music is so enjoyable and up beat it makes you just want to get up and dance! The food takes no time.. it dosnt even compare to most reaturants. The food is delicious! It has this taste that you cant find anywhere else .. its was so good and it seem like everyone enjoyed the food as well. I defanitly recommend the seafood. After i decided to try the desert and a cuban coffe and that was defenitly a good move. The flan and tres lenches is esp. good! i had never tasted a coffe like that! it was great. Considering everything i got the price was very reasonable. i was overall extremely satisfied with the dinning experience i would highly recommend it! Pros: GREAT FOOD!, Inexpensive, great music Cons: not a lot of parking more

5/31/2002 - 5:00 PM I am also from Miami, of Latin descent, and I have visited CONGA 4 times. I have NEVER had a positive experience there. The food takes a VERY long time to be served. The quality/preparation of the food lacks class. I have not seen a change in Management as other reviews mention. I still see the same people running the place, including the owner. If you like good service, you will not like this place. It was a frustrating experience. I will never go back. Cons: SERVICE, SERVICE, FOOD more
