Good Place To Spend 50th Anniversary 7/11/2011

My husband and I went to Emerald Isle for our 50th anniversary and had a wonderful time staying at The Clam Diggers Inn. I thought it was a bit expensive during season but would go again off season if we get the opportunity. We found it to be clean and the staff was very nice. It was nice to just go downstairs for breakfast and then plan our day. \r \r We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the ocean at night. The pool was clean and we enjoyed swimming and sunning there. We had fun exploring the Island and doing some shopping. The aquarium was very nice and reasonable in price. \r \r We enjoyed the nearby area and would recommend staying at the Clam Diggers Inn. \r I more

Clamdigger Inn 5/25/2010

What a disappointment. It felt like being in a dilapidated nursing home. I think the staff was miserable because they have to work there. There are so many better restaurants on the island. Clean, better and fresh food, and polite servers. Just Gross! Pros: nothing Cons: dirty, rude staff, drab atmosphere, gross fodd more
