You will find an ample variety of desserts at this well appointed edge of downtown Davis sweet spot. There is counter service with self-seating at one of the fifteen or so tables inside or out. Dress is casual, as is most everything in Davis, but you wont feel out of place in a jacket or dress. Street noise outside is modest. Music is soft enough to easily have an intimate conversation. This is a place to take your time. You won't be rushed to make your selection or to depart by the courteous, knowledgeable and happy staff.
Don't forget the name of the business. ""Ciocolat"". So stick to the chocolate desserts as you cant go wrong with them. Do ask the counterperson about how rich the chocolate is on each dessert as it varies somewhat. Only two items to avoid....the carrot cake and lavender taste like soap cookies.
Pros: everything chocolate, great staff, reasonable prices
Cons: , carrot cake
