Museum Mom loves this 2/26/2011

Before people criticize this museum, they should realize that there are four floors with sixty pavilions and hundreds of interactive exhibits, all run by volunteers who love kids and donate their time and expertise. With no operations support from city, county, or state, it's a wonderful place to spend time, no matter what your age. more

Children's Museum in Utica 12/15/2009

We took the local family and visiting family into this museum and had a wonderful 3 hour visit. Much to see and interact with! Both my daughters are from other states and said that this CHildren's Museum of History and Science in Utica NY was far superior to theirs, which are in major cities and receive funding from their cities, which I understand this museum doesn't. Kudos to the director for an outstanding job of a clean, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable museum experience more

Expensive! 12/19/2008

Why charge such a high admission? Prohibits large families or low income families from attending. Really not worth the high price... especially when MWPAI is Free. The MOST in Syracuse is 1/2 the price of the Utica Children's museum and it is outstanding! more

Children's Museum of Utica 8/21/2005

Although it's fallen on hard times recently as far as funding, the Children's Museum of Utica still offers a nice variety of activities to stimulate imaginations and interests. From even the littlest one who can play in the safely sectioned off area on the big wooden train and with age-appropriate toys to the older kids who can venture into the nearby school, post office, supermarket or doctor's office, there is much to encourage imaginative play! Upper floors offer a number of choices--dinosaur explorations, lego train tracks, even a small animal section. Several different classes are offered from crafts to music for munchkins and admission is very reasonable. more
