This small OC bistro is atypical of most. While the food caters to the sophisticated palette, the location is strip-malled and quite small. The atmosphere is tropical and casual, though it can be overshadowed by the ruckuss at the bar if there is a game on. (Just take the TV out, C'mon). The food is actually quite appealing, but the most memorable tidbit was not the ginger-wasabi ahi, but the mesmerising painting of the restaurant's chef on the wall. Shockingly realistic, it can be mistaken for a photo-shopped photograph. Whatever you do, don't face it while you eat, if you stare at it too long you'll have nightmares.
