Fantastic food! 10/24/2007

We stumbled across this place last Saturday and decided to have lunch. I cannot believe what a great meal .... absolutely the best Mexican food I think I have ever had! The enchilada was scrumptios and the taco was so light and crispy. All with no trans fat! I cannot wait to go back and have been thinking about it ever since. Guarantee you will not be disappointed! Also, our server was very nice and very fast. I highly recommend this place! Pros: great tacos & enchiladas more

The fish tacos were the best I've ever had. The service was warm and friendly. I thought the atmosphere was a inviting and romantic. I look forward to returning the next time I travel to Portland. Pros: Fish Tacos Cons: I wish I lived closer more

first of all, upon entering, the place smelled old and dirty. the waitress was irritated that i actually asked her for a seat outside because that meant she had to go clean off a table. the chairs were cheap little plastic chairs and stained, cobwebs all over. i ordered a strawberry margarita which was horrible. basically thick strawberry puree with no tequilla. $5.50 wasted.. ordered chicken burrito. asked to deep fry(chimichanga) big inconvenience.. finally my meal brought to me tasted disgusting. barely deep fried, kind of soggy and bland. with a piece of wilted lettuce to garnish.. NICE!! very unhappy with this eating experience.. Pros: guacamole was good Cons: charged $2 for a side of it. more

There is a seperate menu for vegetarian items. I usualy get the veggie enchilada with herb raosted veggies and it is tastey and it comes with a big side of spanish rice and refried beans and/or black beans. Salsa (a bit on the hot side) and chips come before the dinner. The restaurant is in an old house in uptown Vancouver. Pros: yummy mexican food, fast service, inexpensive more

I loved the house the resturant is made out of. It brings a cozy feel to the restaurant. THe food is great and there are many choices. Great chips, guac, and salsa.
