The BEST experience ever!!!!! 5/30/2012

I just purchased a new truck from Cardinale Nissan and it was the BEST experience ever!!!!! I could not have been happier with the way they treated me. I was never pressured into buying something that I did not want, and they never tried to up sale me on things I did not need. Being a girl going through the entire process by myself, I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of. They went out of their way to make me feel at home and explained everything very thoroughly and made sure I was getting a car that I not only wanted, but could also afford. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Erich Gail and Eric Dunbar are the best and I absolutely recommend this dealership to everyone! You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Explained in detail the whole process 5/24/2012

Took the time to explain all the concerns about the cars. Took the time to show details of car. Very nice, very patient. Explained in detail the whole process. more

Did not make me feel pressured 5/23/2012

I recently went in to Cardianle Nissan to look for a new car. I had done my research and knew the exact car i wanted and the price I wanted to pay. I dealt with Lawrence, he was very easy to work with. He did not make me feel pressured into buying at all. I also dealt with Radu for financing, they got me a great deal and I just love my new car. I would Highly recommend this dealership to anyone. The are GREAT!!! more

Would recommend them 5/15/2012

I asked for a price by email, Dustin was very responsive on several email exchanges and quickly replied with a great deal - and I shopped around quite a bit. I drove down the next day, took a quick drive, and 2 hours later I was on my way with my new car. I never felt intimidation like I have at other dealerships, and buying a car is my least favorite thing to do. Everybody there went out of their way to be nice and welcoming. I would recommend them to anyone. more

A fun experience 4/26/2012

Edrick was a gentleman from the onset, a pressure-free salesman with high ethics and an unforgettable smile and demeanor. He was very accomodating to my needs and made coming out to the dealership a fun experience, rather than a stressful transaction. A top class human being with compassion and heart. more

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! 6/24/2011

I recently went into Cardinale Nissan in Seaside to look at purchasing a new car. The sales team was so professional. They made me feel very comfortable, I usually hate going to car lots because they are usually like sharks just waiting to make a deal. The sales person I dealt with was named Lawrence. He introduced himself then just let me look around until I found the right car. They made the car buying a peice of cake. I will definately buy from then again in the future. Keep it up Cardinale Nissan you are fantastic! more

Great service, very informative! 2/11/2011

I recently went to Cardinale Nissan in seaside to look at a used car. I notified Dustin that I was on my way to check it out. When I got there the car was started and ready to go.\r \r After the test drive Dustin sat down and went through every bit of information I needed for the sale. Any question I had, or any information I asked for Dustin was happy to accomodate. After coming up with a plan that would suit MY financial needs (which included a very nice extended warranty) we signed the paperwork and I was on my way.\r \r VERY considerate to my wants and needs. Great place to do business. VERY informative. Did not feel pressured into a sale I did not want. more

STAY AWAY FROM CARDINALE 5/16/2010

I purchased my first car at Cardinale Nissan, saw an ad for a Nissan Versa for $10,995. Went in and i knew that the Versa was my car. They snook in the fabric protection and paint protection into my payment. The cost of the package was $4,900, this sneaky behavior is shameful and should not be practiced by any business establishment. I did not ask to purchase this, nor did they explain anything during the process, I felt completely left out of the process. I applied for credit, they knew my limit, and they took advantage of the entire loan amount. Totally shady move. I recommend you shop elsewhere, this dealer is shady. By the way, all the positive reviews seem to know in intricate detail how the rebates work and posses ""salesperson"" knowledge, i think they were written by someone that works there. Sad. They really suck, ask anyone that has CARDINALE WAY license plate frames, or visit them yourself. Anyone in Cardinale Nissan, VW, Mazda, Toyota, have a question about my review, feel free to comment on the review and I will get back to you ASAP. Pros: Trickster attractive prices Cons: Dishonest, aggressive, shady, must bring your own KY more

Overall good experience 11/10/2009

After reading these reviews below and visiting the dealership myself I cant hardly imagine how or who would write all this negative stuff. Yeah buying a car can be stressful and not always alot of fun. But come on. First I did not see anyone with the names mentioned below. And if you know anything about buying a car some of the things mentioned make even less since. Everything I feel was fair priced. The salesmen were knowledgeable. Maybe they were not experts on every single area of the buisness. But they were very helpful. So before you read the things mentioned below and make a decision you should give them a chance. Its actually kind of funny to go expecting to see what is talked about in these reviews and then NONE of it be accurate. I especially like the review about them stealing the rebate. Nissan and all manufactures review each and every one of these contracts to make sure rebates are given to the customer. SO please dont let this make a decision for you but go and see for yourself. I dont think you will be disappointed. Pros: Fair pricing. Knowledgeable sales and management Cons: None really. more

New management 11/9/2009

I recently purchased a car from Cardinale nissan. After reading these reviews I almost wouldn't go on the lot. To my surprise they were nothing as mentioned here. They have all new management and are very helpful from the selection process all the way thru the paperwork. If you are looking for a car and want an easy and low pressure place to shop then I suggest Cardinale nissan. more

Rip-Off Crooks - Horrible Business Practice 8/9/2009

This disgusting business advertised on Craigslist a car I was interested in. I should have stopped there. I went in to look and before I came to a stop in the lot they were all over me. When I explained that I just wanted to look the sales tactics got very aggressive. The guy was double talking and contradicting himself about everything. Price, warranty, previous owner. He even ha the nerve to tell me it was previously owned by a little ol lady who only drove it on Sundays to church. Seriously. I did a car fax report afterwards out of curiosity on the cars vin number and it was far from the truth. The car had been flooded and given up for dead by the insurance company. Completely salvaged. When I politely said no thank you after the 40th call to me and that I was going to keep looking the guy got so angry and started trying to intimidate me into buying a car. The terms changed constantly as did the final price. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE CHEATS AND LIARS Pros: None Nada Zip Cons: Crooks with Angry Desperate Sales People - Shady Tactics more

What a bunch of crooks 10/30/2008

Dont buy a car or enter a service contract with these guys. I bought a used BMW from them in March - after the sales person lied about the 'free detailing', ding remove and warranty terms it took 6 months to get the registration details. I have had to take the car back twice to get minor issues fixed, neither of which were covered under the terms of the warranty. On both occasions I was quoted $1000 for 'repairs', 'repairs' that they magically fixed putting the car back together when I told them that as it was not under warranty I was going to take it to the BMW dealership to be fixed. They either try to rip you off, or they are completely incompetent - either way I will never being doing business with them again. Cons: they are probably all ex-cons more

Cardinale Auto Group all 14 stores 7/18/2008

I have lived on the Monterey Peninsula my whole life and have bought all of my vehicles from Cardinale. I also know many people who buy their cars from them. I have had always had a very good experience with them. The thing people need to understand is that buying a car is NEVER going to be a completely smooth and amazing process. But what I can say is that Cardinale has always done what they've needed to do to keep me(and their other customers) happy. As a large company, the owners cannot control every single day to day operation. They hire the best people possible and go from there. I read so many blogs where people rip car dealers. You need to be fair in your assesment of a business. If you do run into a problem..ask yourself if they are trying to help you resolve it. People at car dealerships are no different than the rest of us. Hardworking people with families to feed. Once you understand that, you will probably look at things differently. Pros: Family owned, been around very long time, committed to taking care of customer Cons: none really more

Cardinale Nissan, good god. Run, don't walk... 5/16/2008

Cardinale Nissan is a joke. The staff are disrespectful, arrogant and rude. They like to push their ""Cardinale way of doing business"", which is laughable. It's just a high pressure sales tactic that doesn't work. Forget looking at cars, they are in your face every second and if you don't want to hear their rap, they trip out. \r \r I sold my Nissan to a friend and he's used their service department. He's told me horror stories about how dishonest their service department is. The company is owned by a religious nut, so that should tell you a lot right there. I guess when they screw people, they just go to church on Sunday and all is forgiven. \r \r Having lived in the area nearly 45 years, I can tell you this is one of the single worst dealerships in Monterey. Avoid Cardinale Nissan at all costs, or use at your own risk. Best of luck! Pros: umm, can't think of any, unless you like a good screwing Cons: give them a try and you'll have your own list... more

Buyer Beware 4/22/2008

The salespeople at Cardinale Nissan are pushy, dishonest, and terrible to work with. They tried to get me into an 18,000+ loan on a car that should have cost less than 15,000 out the door.\r 1. They lied about the price, raising it in the paperwork and hoping I wouldn't notice.\r 2. They made the $1000 rebate from Nissan disappear, trying to pocket the money (they get the rebate back when the sell the car; this would have effectively doubled their rebate and left me with nothing)\r 3. They lied about the loan, saying I had to get the extended warranty and gap coverage to qualify for their ""special"" rate. The rate was about 3% higher than what I qualified through my bank, which had a very average loan rate.\r 4. They raised the loan rate in the paperwork, bumping it up another .1%, hoping I wouldn't notice.\r 5. They called me 18 times after I walked out, harassing me to come back and sign their bad deal.\r \r Be very careful if you deal with these snakes. Cons: Everything. Seriously, everything about this place is terrible. more
