This nasty place that had paint chips on the tables and nails sticking out of the walls. Food was all over the floor.\r
\r
I didn't immediately turn around because my friend, who I was with, believed that she had been there a while back and the food was reasonable and good.\r
\r
As the table next to us left, they informed us that we shouldnt be afraid to complain. There had been several complaints regarding the food already. Unfortunately, we had already ordered.\r
\r
The crab meet salad was a lump of cold, dry crab meat on a piece of lettuce. The fried shrimp and the fried scallops were chewy and greasy. None of the seafood tasted fresh. The crab cakes were also greasy and had a potent tuna-like taste. The NY strip steak was nothing but gristle and fat.\r
\r
We proceeded to tell what appeared to be the manager/owner the issues we had regarding the quality of the food. She then called over a man who preceded to hostily defend the food. Looking at the strip steak which was cut into chunks of fat, he condescendingly said that NY Strip steak is supposed to have a line of fat in it and if the boy didnt want it, he shouldnt have ordered it. He ignored the concerns regarding the fried food items and said that the crab cakes were made fresh daily with lump crab meat.\r
\r
It cost $88 for two adults and three children for food that we did not eat, except for a few potatoes, a childs salad consisting of one piece of lettuce and a small slice of tomato, and a couple of French fries.\r
\r
I assume the people who were extremely rude and condescending to us were the owners of this family run business. These people should not be in the restaurant business. Not to mention that this place should be shut down for so many reasons.
Cons: too many to count
