We have taken our cats and dog to Capitola Vet since moving to Santa Cruz in 2006. Dr. Pistick is really wonderful. She is very knowledgeable, patient, thorough, gentle, and truly has love for her patients. They literally saved our one cat's life when she got a very bad abscess (she's fluffy so we didn't notice it right away). I also cannot say enough about how great the staff is. Everyone is warm, friendly, efficient and reassuring, and they'll really work to get you in when you have a difficult schedule, like working in Santa Clara but living in Santa Cruz, which makes week day appointments hard. Fees are comparable to other vets in Santa Cruz but the doctor and her staff are what make Capitola Vet a stand out. We will really miss them when we move to San Jose.
