We've been there 3 times and loved every minute of it. Preston was so friendly. He even called up someone to take care of the shop and he came with us and showed us a lot of the area and pointed thing that we would have missed. The evening supper and 'music and lights' trip on the river was fantastic. Would recommend it 100% more

The history narrative was interesting. Prior to the trip we had dinner. The dinner was truly very good quality and service excellent. The meats were excellent, including the finest baked beans and they were happy to give me the recipe upon request. The hospitality and cleanliness were superb. more

The family-owned business did their utmost to ensure that we had an enjoyable experience, despite adverse weather conditions. I really felt that they went the extra mile. The dinner their chef prepared was excellent. more

The boat tour was so much fun. Our tour guide was an old cowboy and made the funniest, adorable old man jokes. It was beautiful to be out on the water while the sun set and after dark with the stars above us. We saw a BASE jumper and shooting stars! The whole thing was well thought out, relaxing, and enjoyable. more

We had a very nice time on our day trip. Our guide was Andrew, who was fun and very informative. I loved the scenery and really was amazed at how much you get to see on the trip. more

Rory, our pilot for the jet boat, is as funny as he is knowledgeable. He pointed out the various arches, a mule deer swimming in the Colorado River, Thelma and Louise Point, Indian petroglyphs, and gave an informative summary of the geologic history of the area. He also stopped once to show us petrified wood that got caught in a mud bank thousands of years ago and is now part of the ""permanent"" geology of the area. We really enjoyed it and found it well worth the coin. Seeing Canyonlands National Park from below with Rory and then visiting it at the Island In The Sky gives two breathtakingly different perspectives on the same area. more

We did the morning jet boat tour; leave at 8 AM, get back about 12 PM. Takes you about 34 miles down the Colorado and back. There's some stopping-off points along the way as well; really neat.\r \r Captain Rory is your guy; great sense of humor, he's a local and can tell you anything you want to know about the geology, history, etc. of the area. Really nice guy.\r \r Wonderful way to see the river and the area. Highly recommended! more

We found this trip by accident and I'm glad we decided to do this as it was excellent.\r We started the evening with a three course buffet meal which was excellent, the food was both plentiful and tasty and on it's own would have been enough to warrant a good review.\r The river cruise started at 8 p.m. and we were taken a short way onto the Colorado river direct from the company's jetty, throughout the trip we were given a commentary of the points of interest in the canyon and about the river. When it got dark the canyon walls were lit with spotlighting as we were told stories about the ancient history of the river and canyon and this gave the whole evening a magical feeling. \r The people who managed the cruise ,and the restaurant and food, were very friendly and everyone made us feel welcome, the trip was good value for money and I would definitely recommend it. more

Tired of hiking all of the parks? Want a break from the physical activity? Want a different view of the canyons? Give Canyonlands by Night and Day's jet boat a try. We took the 4 hour tour and had a fantastic time. Our guide was a native of Moab and along with being very knowledgeable, had a very hilarious dry sense of humor, even taking credit for baking the free cookies and carving some of the rock formations we went past. Riding down the river at 40mph gives you a unique perspective of the area you don't get in the 3 parks in the area. If you visited the overlook at Dead Horse park, you can see it from the opposite view looking up the rock on this trip. The guide stops numerous times on the trip to show interesting sights like rock climbers, petroglyphs, rock strata and the cliff where the car in the movie Thelma and Louise was shot off. The ride is smooth and thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended! more

We went on the Canyonlands by Night Tour, and it was amazing! Preston was our guide; he and the entire crew was amazing. The fact that they can navigate the Colorado at night was mindboggling! What struck me the most is how they were all genuinely so glad to have us on the tour; they made us feel like the most important people they've ever met! There was a great mix of imagination, entertainment and facts. We went from seeing figures in the cliff to learning about the history and geology of the area to hearing about how they had worked with film people to shoot movies in the area. It is obvious the tour people love this land and what they do. If you're going to Moab, you should definitely do a tour with this company! You will see the land through entirely different eyes, and get to relax and have fun as well! more

After driving through the scenic Colorado River road, we arrived late afternoon in time to take the sunset jetboat cruise along the river. Our guide was a young man who gave us an amusing and informative commentary throughout the tour, and frequently stopped to allow us to take photographs of this incredibly beautiful stretch of river. The setting sun seemed to emphasise the depth of colour of the cliffs which rose up on either side of the river and provided a wonderful contrast to the glass-like surface of the river.\r The cruise was followed by a western style meal at the riverside restaurant. The food was plentiful and tasty. We had no complaints. more

when our group of 5 walked in to the office of canyonlands by night, we just had a few questions regarding a possible rafting trip. 4 out of the 5 of us were ready to book our adventure. the 5th, wasn't so sure. thankfully, jessiqua was waiting behind the counter. she greeted us like old friends and once we explained our situation she could not have been more kind. she was friendly and informative. because of jessiqua, we booked a rafting trip for the next morning. and, to quote the 5th person in our group after we made our way through a set of rapids, ""THAT was awesome!"" more

Both the dinner and the cruise are a fun way to spend the evening. The food was good but the cruise was better.\r We enjoyed the history that Preston provided for us and the night sky and the weather were simply perfect.\r You feel like you far away from everything and that was the best part. It is simply a beautiful part of our country that most people never see. \r Arches and Canylonlands NP are spectacular. more

While spending several days in Moab, Utah, we decided to take a tour of the Colorado River. We booked a four hour jet boat tour with Canyonlands and we loved every minute of the ride. Our guide, Rory, was wonderful, so knowledgeable about the river and surrounding area. The views were spectacular and the jet boat was so much fun.\r \r Treat yourself to this great experience. Remember to ask for the AAA discount. more

We signed up for the Canyonlands by Night tour as well as the optional ""dutch oven"" dinner. Probably the most impressive part of this evening was the genuine friendliness of absolutely all of the staff - and they are mostly all locals who really made the experience special - not that it wouldn't have been otherwise. I expected the usual dinner buffet and it was NOT! Food was delicious, and although it was a line with servers, they heaped the food on your plate, told you what it was and how it was prepared, and encouraged you to come back for as much as you wanted. The following boat ride and show were as good as the food. more
