Close City and Open Country
Scuba diving, water skiing, yachting and a serious game of Marco-Polo await you along Canyon Lake's sun-bathed banks. Green spaces like Comal Park offer numerous picnic areas and a large beach for swimming. Other hot spots like Crane's Mill, Overlook and Canyon Park are open from dawn until dusk giving water lovers ample time to enjoy a lazy day at the lake.
Shore is Refreshing
Take the scenic drive to Canyon Lake and bask in 80-miles of rolling Hill Country shoreline. Enjoy the cool clear waters while floating aboard a ski boat, sailboat or a tube. With an average depth of 43 feet, this 8,240-acre lake is perfect for fulfilling every water sport need. The Guadalupe River was dammed and flooded in 1964 to create the open waters of Canyon Lake. Today, a water-ski club as well as many
yacht clubs and marinas call the shoreline home.
