Best rates and service! 9/1/2010

We have tried the other canoe rental places, and on our last trip we used Foggy Bottom. We need look no further. They had the lowest rates, the nicest equipment, and by FAR the friendliest, most courteous staff. It has that privately owned, "we'll do right" feel, and we were so happy with the whole experience. The staff was fun, friendly, and willing to go WAY above and beyond what we expected. I own my kayak, and my friend rented hers, and they transported both of them for us even though they didn't have to. We did not wait for the shuttle to get back to our car- they send one every 20 minutes without fail, and it was just pulling in as we paddled up. We have been left waiting for a long time by other rental places. Also, we were happy to see that they are actively doing good for the community. There was a flyer posted to help find a home for a local shelter dog who lost his home in the flood, and they were taking donations for others affected. All in all, this is by far the best value for your money, the best experience, and you can feel good about supporting this business. more

  • Scenic canoe and kayak trips on a Class 1 river through historic areas. Family fun. Primitive camping. Call and ask about our campsites. We are here to help you enjoy a great canoe or kayak trip down the Harpeth River. We'll provide the canoes, kayaks, paddles and life vests. Then we'll provide transportation to and from the river. We even have shaded parking so you don't have to come back to a hot car. The Harpeth is a Class 1 river, which means that it's slow-moving with a few mild rapids thrown in to wake the paddler up. It's an easy float for anyone who wants to fish, swim or just relax.
