Was dumbfounded to see that a large Latte was something like $5.40 after tax - not sure how they rationalize such a gouge. Think I'll stick to CCs or PJs.

Excellent iced coffee, crabby, inexcusible service 8/24/2007

I've been coming to New Orleans (and Rose Nicaud) for work for the last month. Overall, everyone in the city is SO friendly- with one exception- the guy with a black ponytail who works at Rose Nicaud has been rude, sloppy and careless on several occasions. Friends of mine have had similar experiences with him. This guy should be in therapy, not working in the service industry. \r On the other hand, the cold drip iced coffee is excellent and the ambiance is nice. If ponytail guy got the boot, the place would be fantastic. Pros: iced coffee, heathy food (for New Orleans) Cons: Counter guy needs an attitude adjustment more

Most consistent espresso in New Orleans 11/15/2006

I think Rose Nicaud has lovely decor, with romantic touches and an interesting story behind the name. Their espresso is the most consistent in town, I think. My personal menu favorite is the breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Or maybe the portabella mushroom sandwich. Both are excellent. Location is great - right amidst the bustle and bohemia of Frenchman. more
