I love sitting on the patio in the rain. My husband and I have enjoy Cafe Degas for 12 years. Their prices at dinner have gotten high, but it's still well worth it. Pepper steak, escargo, lamb (when they have it) are always fantastics. I've been disappointed in pheasant. Their cheese plate appetizer is great.
Lunch is the real deal. Dinner is a bit on the pricey side. Many people who are going to spend $120 for dinner and wine, might prefer something fancier for the price.
If you go regularly, the staff will become very friendly, and extras (lagniappe) appear. Since I've moved out of the neighborhood, it more of a treat now days.
Pros: romantic, delicious french, gay waiters
Cons: bit pricey
