The woman in charge was very rude to me and to my pregnant wife. We wanted to buy some children's books since we're about to have a baby, and wanted to sell some of our old books to pay for them. We told her this upfront when we brought two boxes of books to the store and she said that they normally don't do store credit in other sections, but she would ""see what she could do."" When we finally got back in contact with the right person (a few days later) they wanted to give us $3 in children's book credit, and $30 in other sections. When I said that we were only interested in children's book credit, she said ""you know what, just forget it, come and get your books."" Then she threatened to not give us our books back, because it had been more than 48 hours since they gave us the offer. When I tried to tell her that we were in the bookstore within 48 hours to talk to her, but she wasn't there and the employees couldn't help us, she said ""don't threaten me"" and hung up on me. The next day I went in to pick up the books and she was just as rude, and refused to apologize for her behavior on the phone.
We will never do business with this store again. I'm going back to Von's.
