Bullfinch's is wonderfully decorated, but the food is not .It lacks flavor and is very bland. My sugestion is if you are into atmosphere but not to picky about food then Bullfinc...

Wonderful Bruch Shower 6/21/2010

My mother recently hosted by brunch wedding shower at Bullfinches - it was a gorgeous venue to host the shower, the atmosphere was beautiful and the food was delicious - their eggs benedict is one of the best I've ever had. And overall, it was rather reasonable. Their event planner, Peggy, is wonderful, very helpful and super accommodating. I would highly recommend Bullfinches for any wedding/baby shower. i am surprised by some of the other bad reviews. i have aleays had terrific experiences here with both food and service. live jazz sunday brunch is great. dining room is beautiful and always changing. can not say enough good things about it. if you had a bad experience try again, it was an anamoly. more

We went to Bullfinchs for my mother's birthday and were immediately impressed by the beautifully decorated dining room. As the meal went on the dining room became crowded and noisy. The food was ok, however bland and overpriced for the quality. Our waitress was very friendly, but forgot our drinks and brought us the wrong dinner. Try for yourself, but not sure we would return. more

Great brunch , wonderfull ambience 8/30/2008

Food was exceptional, great flavors just right portions and the music was entertaining without intruding. This is a great relaxing way to spend a weekend day. Pros: Creativity of menu, food flavors and the music Cons: couldnt really think of any more

This is a great place to dine. The food is wonderful. I am surprised by the other reviews. I have been to this restaurant about 5 times and every time was great. I think if you are used to common flavors or tastes you might not appreciate some of the meals. more

Bullfinch's is wonderfully decorated, but the food is not .It lacks flavor and is very bland. My sugestion is if you are into atmosphere but not to picky about food then Bullfinch's is your kind of place but if your like the most of us save your time and your wallet. Once the owners put as much efffort into hiring a new chef and revamping the menu then they might have something. Pros: ambience, live jazz music Cons: bland food, price more

Multiple Positive Experiences 9/22/2004

I've yet to have a bad meal or dining experience at this restaurant. The cuisine is listed as American, but this is definitely not a steak and seafood restaurant. The menu would better be described as european-influenced gourment. Veal oscar, beef wellington, chicken versonese, goose liver pate, panka encrusted chilean seabass are just some of Bullfinch's offerings. The atmosphere is ecclectic, romantic and classy, without being too uptight or formal. In there summer there's outdoor seating available on the patio beneath a vined trellis. They also have a decent wine list, and a fair selection of scotches and cordials. Pros: food, atmosphere, wine list more

Great place, lousy food! 11/12/2002

If a little of something is good, then a lot must be better, right? WRONG! The food here is like warfare on a plate. Too many ingredients. Mismatched ingredients. It is truly horrible. Nevertheless my wife and I are frequent visitors to this charming restaurant. Why? The staff and the ambience are both superb (though the service is not always the best!). If they ever get a real chef, this place will be awesome! more
