Borders is a great bookstore. It is one of only two large chain bookstores in the area, and they have a large selection of books there and a very nice children's section. Borders tends to have whatever book I'm looking for (usually children's books) and I just don't have anywhere near that selection at Walmart or the PX. Plus they have chairs to relax and read in, and the whole store is colorful and cheery.
The main downside to Borders is price. It's a mall store and as such their prices tend to be higher than I can find at Amazon or other online stores. I can't even remember the last time I purchased a book at a B&M store, and that is because I can simply get a better deal online. But if there is something you need to have now, vs. waiting for Amazon's slow Super Saver shipping, or if you simply prefer to browse through the books in person, Borders is a great place to do so.
