A PARENT'S REVIEW: When our family decided to get our girls into Tae Kwon Do for self-defense and exercise, we began observing different TKD programs around Orange County. We took our time because we wanted to find the very best studio. You would not believe the differences among various studios! Some are very negative with the children. Others are very disorganized. If we were going to be spending the money, we wanted it to be a top-notch, excellent program. After a few months of searching (and spending many hours a week observing different schools), we were told about Black Belt Academy by a well-connected Korean friend. She said that Black Belt Academy was the only school she would ever send her kids to. Within our first hour of observing, we knew this school was for us. Master Rhee, the owner, is the perfect blend of strictness and kindness. He has a magical touch with children, always bringing out the best in them and inspiring them to go above and beyond while teaching them intricate skills. He also creates such a positive atmosphere in the school, creating a ""family feeling"" amongst all of the parents. He has a playroom for little children, an open seating area for adults so they can observe their kids, and always greets every person by name. The other instructors are equally wonderful. Master Park is a gem, just like Master Rhee, always providing the highest level of instruction with the finesse and confidence of a seasoned teacher. Every instructor in the studio is of the highest caliber. This, in my opinion, is because Master Rhee cares so much about his school and the people in it. It is rare to see an owner out on the floor daily with the children, but Master Rhee is. This speaks to his integrity and pride in his school.
