Editorial review from Citysearch 3/13/2013

We stopped here just looking for something to eat while travelling. This place is definitely expensive, $70 for lunch for four, but is worth it. It's a very nice place and we got great service. We sat at a table in the back with a nice view of the river. All four of us had sandwiches. *Very* good sandwiches, good coleslaw, good fries and very good sweet-potato fries. more

Lousy service average, expensive food = :( 5/27/2012

Went to the restaurant for Mother's Day for the first time. Had a reservation that we were 20 minutes late for, and the host (who seemed inexperienced) made it seem like he didn't know if they'd have room to give us another table, because they were ""so booked up."" Understandable, since it was Mother's Day. Luckily, there were able to seat us, and glancing around the restaurant I couldn't help but notice that, the entire time we were there, not only was there a large table next to us with a reserved sign on it that stayed vacant the WHOLE time (2.5 hours), but 75% of the inside seating was empty as well. The host was even tuning people away that had not made reservations, stating they didn't have room. Maybe it was his first time hosting. Maybe they were understaffed that day. But I question why he gave our table up after 20 minutes and kept the other reserved table for two and a half hours. Maybe the president and First Lady were scheduled to arrive there. Or maybe the Dalai Lama. I dunno. Bottom line -- food was average, WAY overpriced, and we all decided we'd not eat there again, regardless of the fabulous location. If you're in the mood for a nice, upscale meal that's worth the dough, I highly recommend the restaurant at the Lucia Lodge. Quaint, eclectic place with REALLY good food and service. Expensive, but worth it :) more

Delicious organic food, beautiful location 1/3/2008

We dropped in for dinner on a Sunday night, did not stay at the inn. We were surprised by the quality of the food. The chef came out and introduced himself, the service was very friendly and helpful (Lauren). We aren't vegetarians but I ordered the vegetarian ravioli for the main course and was not disappointed. My wife had the miso salmon with wasabi mashed potatoes, that was really unique and tasty. Seems like they go out of their way to acquire high-quality ingredients and it shows. Good wine selection. The locale is awesome, be sure to step off the back patio and catch some fresh air next to the river. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer and enjoying a few more meals here. Pros: delicious food, high quality ingredients, good value Cons: too far from home :) more

Great food, average inn 6/6/2007

After a number of tourist restaurants we were impressed by the flavorful organic food. Burgers were great, satay was average. The inn was unimpressive, older and small but enough for one night. Pros: Organic food, next to river. Cons: Old inn could use remodeling. more
