Dropped a fretless bass guitar over there and it sat for a MONTH, untouched, unexamined, despite checking in two weeks later and informing them I really kinda needed it for a gig in March I was rehearsing for. I've asked around since then and honestly - not a great reputation among the musicians in the area.\r \r If you need strings, or are in the market for an inexpensive instrument - fine, but DON'T bring your repairs there under ANY circumstance. Had a guitar set up and a small alteration to a very expensive guitar. Not happy with the results. One knob was cracked when I got it back after the set-up. didn't notice it until I got the guitar home and did a thorough inspection. Then I wanted a different pick guard made for the guitar and they distroyed my original pick guard in order to make another pick guard. Not happy about that. Not good craftsman as they profess to be. Lots of hype and a good talker. never again!!! more

Bought an acoustic guitar from them, with the condition that it would be setup, nothing had been done to it since being made. Once the owner/ repair guy came back from wherever, I brought it back in for service, now mind you I just dropped close to 800.00 on this thing. I have been playing for 20 + years and know a great deal about all kinds of instruments, and after a bit of him telling me I need to play it in, and to bring it back, I just gave up knowing I could get quality service from someone like Campbells. Now he did do some minor work to it, but I could tell he didn't want to be bothered with it. I think maybe I caught him at a bad time, hard to tell, but I personally would be reluctant to expect anything other than less than stellar customer service. Excellent Sales Personnel... Nice Products... Good People.. Took way to long to get warranty work done on my guitar, however. I called every two weeks.. First call, I was told they would get back to me.. Waited a couple days and called again.. Sales rep who sold me the guitar was very up front and said they had not shipped out the guitar for service yet. Called two weeks later was told they would check and get back to me.. Needless to say.. They did not get back to me, so I started eMailing... The only time they ever got back to me was when my Guitar was back... Took approximately 6 weeks. Then I had to pay for shipping.. Again very friendly people but as a customer, I expected a little better treatment... and I didn't expect to pay for the shipping... 6 Weeks was way to long to wait for my guitar repair work.
