A friend of mine had refered me to Barry Jay after I had a not so great experience at another local jewelry store. I had my engagement ring repaired and it just didn't look right....

A friend of mine had refered me to Barry Jay after I had a not so great experience at another local jewelry store. I had my engagement ring repaired and it just didn't look right. I showed it to Barry and he took alot of time to show me my options and explain to me what could be done. What really inpressed me that never once did he bad mouth the other store, he simply explained why they fixed it the way they did. I wish the other store would of explained it me like that in the first place so I didn't have to have it fixed twice. Barry corrected the problem and replaced my center section and put my diamond back in. It looked better then when I got it 30 years ago. I also liked that when I left my diamond they give you a copy of the flaws in your stone so you know it is yours when you pick it up (so I got to look thru a microscope when I left the ring and when I picked it up) no other store has done that for me. Best thing that ever happened to me 2/23/2012

Barry Jay Jewelers is the best thing that ever happened to me regarding jewelry. I knew nothing about gold and diamonds until I met Barry. Now, I know that I can trust him and that everything in his store is, per Barry "something I would be proud to put on my own wife". His people are great and everyoen goes out of their way to make sure your jewelry shopping experience is a great one. more

Best. Jeweler. Ever.\r My husband bought my engagement ring at Barry's six years ago. Ever since then, we have been faithful customers. There is no reason to ever go anywhere else. The jewelry, the staff, the experience...everything is amazing. If you live anywhere near the Delaware County area, this is the jeweler to go to. You will not be disappointed! more

GREAT STORE 11/26/2011

My son recently purchased his engagement ring on-line. Right after giving it to his girlfriend some of the side diamonds came out. He contacted the place he purchased it on-line to send it back for service and they would not stand behind the ring since it was past 30 days. When he called me to tell me what had happened I told him when he comes back to Springfield I will take him over to my jeweler. We went over to see Barry and show him the ring. Barry took the time to examine the ring and to show my son under his scope what caused the problem. He explained what would be done to repair the problem and gave him an estimate to do the job. My son said the ring looked better after Barry repaired it then when he got it from the original jeweler on-line. Barry not only took the time to help my son with his situation he never once made him feel bad for not coming to him for the ring. Passed the Test 9/20/2011

My wife and family have been going to Barry Jay for along time. My daughter recently sold some gold to him and was very pleased. My family swears by him and his honesty so I decided to see how good he was. I took about 20 items I wanted to sell and broke them down into pyles. I took them to two other local jewelers for prices. The first place I stopped at was in media and made me a offer of $1,150.00, the second place was in Springfield and he was close at $1,190.00 . Barry Jays was my last stop and he was $1,645.00. Now that is a big difference. I told him the story afterwards. I promised him I would write a review for him. Now like I said my family has been going to him for along time so besides buying my gold he has made alot of jewelry for us and we have always been very happy with him and his store's customer service. I would highly recommend stopping in and meeting him, for a young guy he has old world values. more

Barry is a gem in Springfield 7/11/2011

I have gone to Barry Jay Jewelers for the past 5 years and have always been given the best service, attention and advice. I came to Barry with a large diamond ring from my great-grandmother and Barry suggested recutting the diamond to give it the brilliance it lacked. We did this; he kept the size of the diamond intact but made it a thousand times more beautiful. People always comment on my ring and that is because of Barry and the time he put into helping me pick out and make a setting that fit the diamond perfectly. I would suggest going there for every purchase especially an engagement ring. Barry is trustworthy and his prices always seem lower than other jewelers in the area. I would tell everyone to go there - they always go above and beyond for their customers. He also cleans my ring every time I stop in there; which is really nice!!! more

Careful consumer Connie 4/22/2011

I recently took a beautiful ring to Barry Jay's. One of the diamonds had fallen out & was was very upset because it had been my Mom's ring. Barry took a considerable amount of time with me explaining what needed to be done , how long it would take, and how much it would cost. He took my concerns very seriously and was very respectful of the importance this piece of jewelry had for me. \r I got the ring back pretty quickly and it never looked so stunning. He professionally cleaned it , at no cost, and even gave me a free jar of cleaner to take home. He treated me and my ring, with great care & efficiency! I would highly recommend going to Barry Kay's for jewelry repairs and purchases. He has a lot of lovely pieces there at reasonable rates. A friendly & helpful staff will assist you too! more

World Class 4/7/2011

I have been a long time customer of Barry Jay Jewelers. This is a very nice neighbor-hood store. I like to support our local business. Barry Jay Jewelers is one of those stores that always supports and gives back to the local community. At my age I don't buy much anymore but he fixes what ever I need and cleans my jewelry for me. I recently sold some of my old jewelry to him that none of my children wanted. I was pleasently surprised when he told me the amount. I thought he was joking it did not look like alot but it was worth alot. I wasn't even aware the gold market was up so high until I was in his store to get a battery for my watch and I was watching all of these people selling there jewelry. If you are looking for a very honest and very talented jeweler then Barry Jay Jewelers is your store. more

WOW 4/6/2011

WOW What a really nice jewelry store. I was looking for a jeweler and on-line and found this store. I had some items that I needed repaired and had some stuff to possibly sell. When I went to the store I was greeted by two woman who helped me go over the repairs. I was very happy that the work was going to be done in the store and not sent away. They introduced me to Barry Jay and he went over all the repair work that my necklace and ring would need. All of the employees were very nice and I felt very relaxed here. When I came back to pick up my stuff WOW it looked brand new. I also sold him some old boyfriend jewelry that my fiance was happy to see go. When it comes time to purchase our wedding bands BARRY JAY JEWELERS is the only place I will go now. Great service , Great staff. more

I LOVE MY RING 2/9/2011

My now Fiance purchased my engagment ring from Barry Jay and I LOVE MY RING. Every place I go I get compliments on it. My family has been going to Barry Jay for along time so when it came time to get my ring he went with my mother over to talk to Barry. My fiance said he felt so relaxed and no pressure to buy not like some other stores he went to. He liked that Barry took the time to educate him on diamonds so he understood the different grades that diamonds are given made him feel more relaxed with his purchase. Did I say I LOVE MY RING. GREAT SERVICE 1/20/2011

I had some jewelry repairs done at another Jewelry store and with in a few weeks the same problems I had before with my ring ( this was my grandfathers ring that he gave to me on my 21st Birthday)I am having again. I took it back to the store that did the repairs and they said they wouldn't work on it anymore it was just too old. I went to Barry Jay's by recommendations from some of the guys I work with. Barry took the time to show me under the micrscope the reason why I was having problems with the diamonds in my ring and why they keep coming loose. He gave me two options on fixing the ring and went thru the entire process with me on how it would be repaired. The restoration (as per Barry Jays words) took appox 3 weeks. The ring had some engraving work on the side of the ring that was worn down also. When they called to say it was ready for pick up I really was reluctant to think it was going to look any better then the last store. LET ME JUST SAY THIS RING LOOKED BRAND NEW more

"ILOVEBARRYJAY.COM" I am going to own this site! My (now) fiance' went to Barry Jay to get my engagement ring and I LOVE my ring!! We went to his store after the engagement to look at wedding bands and this is when I met Barry Jay for the first time. I have never been so impressed with anyone in this line of work in my life! He was so educated, creative, nice (is an understatement), honest, funny, patient, and made us feel as if we were the only customer's in the world. Barry Jay's sincerity is very apparent. Very Happy New Customer 12/16/2010

I live in Broomall and went down to Philly to look for an engagement ring for my girlfriend because my brother bought his from a store down there. I went on line to learn about diamonds so I would have some understanding of what I was about to purchase. I didn't like the pressure I felt from alot of the sales people down there. I read on line to only by GIA certified diamonds and alot of stores were trying to push other diamonds on me that were not GIA.. I went on line and googled jewelry stores in delaware county and a few came up with some good reviews. I picked two and both stores were very nice and informative. I ended up with Barry Jay Jewelers I felt very relaxed there , and he explained to me about the different "Labs" that grade diamonds and how some are better then others this can also effect the price of the diamond also. I ended up with a GIA diamond. I did go to alot of stores and his prices are very good and I would Highly recommend Mr Jay to anyone. My girlfrien more

New customer 12/2/2010

I went on-line to find a Jewelry store near me to buy my Girlfriend a piece of Jewelry. I knew I didn't want to go to the Mall so I went on-line to find reviews of some Local stores. I went to two stores and went to Barry Jays Last and I wished I had gone there first. The two women who helped me were very friendly and helped me find something in my price range. I didn't have a clue what i wanted to buy just something for our 1 year anniversary. I never had a jeweler before but I have one now. more

I cannot say enough good things about Barry Jay. I have gone in there many times looking for a gift for my wife. I have never felt pressured to buy a thing no matter how big or small and I have always left with a present my wife loved. His entire staff are so friendly and helpful. You really get a sense of small town, everyone knows your name type feeling when you are there. A guy who doesn't mind a jewelry store?! Only at Barry's! \r I highly recommend! more

Happy Husband 9/9/2010

I have been a long time customer of Barry Jay Jewelers. We always go there for all of our repair work. They have been very generous with buying Ads for our Kids school and sports teams. When it came time for my 20 year anniversary present my husband asked what I wanted , I told him about a ring that I saw at the jewelry store. My husband works all the time so the staff at the store knows me not my husband. I told him that the ring is on a wish list and just ask and they will show it to you. Unfortunatly the ring in the store sold. The store was able to re-order a new one in for him to see. My husband said that everyone at Barry Jays went out of there way to teach him about diamonds and make him feel relaxed with his purchase. Barry Jay came over and helped out to explain about the ring and the quality of the diamonds being used. WORLD CLASS 7/15/2010

Barry Jay is where my fiance got my engagement ring! It is THE MOST GORGEOUS ring I have ever seen in my life. We will NEVER go to another jeweler. We have since got our wedding bands, a watch for my fiance, and are currently looking at earrings. Everytime I go I enjoy my experience. Barry always makes sure to talk to us and make sure we know all of our options. He even let us hold our rings there until we payed them off. Hes the Best! I LOVE BARRY JAY!!! He is the most honest person. You never feel pressured or uncomfortable when you are there! He is the nicest, most down to earth man-which is a nice feeling to get when you are handing someone your favorite piece of (broken) jewelery! He and his staff (who are all amazing by the way) take the time to listen to what you are saying. Everyone is so helpful they make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. We have been using Barry for 6 years now and I would never go anywhere else-no matter where I live! Me and my family have been using Barry Jay Jewelers for years. He knows what it means to be a Community Store. He gives back to the schools and other Local events all time. We use him for all our jewelry and watch repairs all the time. Very High quality repairs and service. We just sold him some of our old broken and ugly jewelry and was very surprised on How much we received for it $$$ :). We will never go any place else and only recommend his store. more
