We moved here in June from Woodfield Gardens in Rolling Meadows ~ the difference between it and Barrington Lakes is night and day! Any maintenance requests are resolved within hours, the office staff are wonderful, the grounds are beautiful and the apartment is great. We can paint how we want to. We have a pond view and I love waking up to watch the ducks, geese and swans (yes, swans) idly swimming. And the fireplace is a huge plus in winter! I have recommend this place to friends and would do so again. more

My fiance and I moved here in August 2006. We moved into a newly remodeled unit right by the lake. We love it! I mean... in the big picture this complex is a nice place to live.... more

very friendly and professional 7/6/2011

I have lived at this apartment complex with my family for almost two years. It has been a very nice experience for us.We have a small dog (Cookie) and live in a three bedroom. The building is always kept up. I found the office staff to be very friendly and professional. They even pick up our mail when we go out of town. I would recommend Barrington Lakes as a very nice home to live in. more

In my opinion, these apartments are pretty good. They are spacious, clean and the staff is really nice. The clubhouse is great, the laundry hasn;t given me any problems and the few thing I have needed them to fix have been done within the day of calling. The area around the apartments is very convenient.Over all, I plan to stay for awhile more

Excellent 6/23/2011

I lived in a one bedroom apartment (building 2210) for 3 years, and then moved to a 2 bedroom aparatment (building 2100) for 2 more years. So obviously, I liked the place. The location is perfect with great highway access. It is only 15 minutes away from the Woodfield mall area, so that means lots of restaurants, shopping, movie theaters, etc. Snow removal is EXCELLENT and they keep the grounds very clean. It is a very good place to live. I highly recommend it!! more

Building is clean and quiet 6/20/2011

I don't know about the people who have written such negative reviews, but living at Barrington Lakes has certainly NOT been a negative experience for me. I have lived there for 10 years. My building is clean and quiet. Anytime I've had a problem, maintenance is there within minutes. We have amenities that I did not have in the city plus the price in the city was higher. Taking all of that into consideration along with the landscaping, building etc. that has been done during the past year and I would hope to continue living at Barrington Lakes for quite some time. more

I was able to find a larger apartment for less money than everywhere else in the area. She has been great throughout the whole process and made sure that I received everything I needed to be comfortable. There is no better place especially for the reasonable price in the area. more

Gorgeous 5/25/2011

I have lived here for 6 months and I have nothing but great things to say about this place and the staff here. I came from downtown Aurora to this. I thought I was at a vacation resort from Wisconsin. First of all they have every single amenities that you can think of either on site or right down the street. From working out in the fitness center to grilling outside by the lake with your family and friends. Bottom line Great location, very friendly people. The new magager here has really lived up to there word for the residents in the past year. Look in to it. For the record I have been to every other complex with 15 miles of this place. Nothing matches it. Take a look for yourself. Gorgeous more

just renewed my lease for another year 5/17/2011

The office staff is always nice when I call in for a problem in my apartment. I really do like all the activities that they offer in the clubhouse, I go to the Yoga class every week. Me and my friends had a blast last year when they had a fireworks show over the lake, I really hope they have it again this year! I just renewed my lease for another year. more

loved the space and storage space 5/13/2011

To my surprise we had one that looked upgraded but was at the regular price. We had a one bedroom with a den and loved the space and storage space. It allowed for us to have out of state guests stay with us on their visits. My husband and I lived in a building close the office and enjoyed many walks around the pond on the newly paved track. The track has exercise things around it and bags for tenants to clean up after their animals placed all around it. more

just a great place to live 5/12/2011

The buildings look great, and there is no bad smell. I even comment on how fresh the place smells every time I go in. The neighborhood is great. My friend accidentally left her window down on her car with her gps plain in sight, but it was still there when she got back. She was very surprised. It's a convenient location, close to I-90, right down the street from the library, hospital, woodfield mall, etc. Over all it's just a great place to live. :) Parking has never been an issue either. There are plenty of spots, and I'm coming home at all random hours more

The ponds are pretty and it's nice to look at the swans every day when my husband and I go to the gym. Gym facilities are nice, maintenance crew takes a little while, but gets the job done, and I have had nothing but good experiences with the office staff. more

really liked Barrington Lakes 5/4/2011

I really liked Barrington Lakes. A beautiful clubhouse was renovated with indoor/outdoor pool and a nice gym with a shower/locker room inbetween the two. Yoga, pilates, and dance classes are offered weekly for no cost. I have found all the staff to be friendly. more
