The friendly family diner isn't dead...it's in Manheim Pa, alive and well. My FAVE place to eat in central PA...and there are a lot of good diners there! I love breakfast here! Everything is fresh and yummy, the serving sizes would make Weight Watchers cringe, and the waitstaff is super friendly! If you go in, say hi to owner Ehab, and chef extraordinare, Khaled. Going on Sat or Sun a.m., be prepared to wait a bit, and parking can be crowded. But there are more spaces out back, so that's where I usually go. Pros: Big portions, friendly staff Cons: Parking can get crowded more

Typical Family Restaurant, with Just Average Food. 4/29/2009

This particular diner has the feel of a typical family owned and operated restaurant. The menu was extensive and seemed similar to the Lyndon Diner?s menu. I would recommend ordering some of their battered French fries. However, the food overall wasn?t as good as we anticipated. The service was difficult to judge because we were waited on by a new waitress. She wasn?t really knowledgeable about what was available. She didn?t know what the soup of the day or the vegetable of the day was. She also needed to be asked before refilling beverages. Overall this was an average diner with average food and service. Pros: Large menu and good French fries Cons: The food was mediocre and the service was slow. more
