It all starts with the management, or lack there of. This company's only concern at the end of the day is profit margin. Clients & employees are a distant second. I will say they have some good DJs. This is only if you happen to land one of three managers. The managers are pretty solid. However, they go through more account managers than toilet paper. I highly recommend these guys if your wedding is less than 3 months away. You should be safe. Anyone booking 3 months and out, might want to look elsewhere. The only two DJs that are safe to book outside of 3 months would be Kirkley Hennessy and Joel Mcguire. (Owner & VP) more

Amazing People! 8/17/2010

We used Avalanche Entertainment for our rehearsal and reception entertainment and it was totally awesome!!\r \r Friday night for the rehearsal, we had them out for a casino party. All of our guests thought it was such a cool idea, and it was. Cooler than that was that our DJ was one of the dealers for that night . The guests thought that was soooo awesome!!\r \r For our reception we used Avalanche to DJ, video the ceremony and reception, and limo. Everything was absolutely perfect. I was able to plan with them before the event and my videos turned out to be amazing. Aaron is wonderful to work with as everyone at the office was always very nice when meeting with me.\r \r A definite YES in my book!!! THANKS AVALANCHE! more

Dear potential Avalanche Entertainment Client,\r \r As reviews and referrals are a large part of our business, please understand that the review below is missing some key elements as to what is true and what has been fabricated. We ask that you please see the review below and then scroll back up to this response as our reputation is very important to us!\r \r Yes, the client did hire a DJ that left before the event date occurred. The reality is, we don't ever plan for this, but as the original DJ is no longer available to work a DJ event, we had to use our resources (other djs in the office) and do what it takes to take care of the current Client.\r \r Where things are not true is the amount of email correspondence said below. We, as a company, took the initiative to advise them of the change on February 22, 2010 (for the event dated September 25, 2010).\r \r The ONLY response (both voice and email) was on June 24, 2010 stating that they would like to have their deposit back. As an industry standard, all deposits are non-refundable. The client then decided to post the following review.\r \r Please decipher at your own leisure, but please let us inform you that we're a company built on integrity, professionalism and values. We take great care of our Clients and with that, it's proven:\r \r *We are the only DJ and entertainment company in Atlanta to receive the ""Best of Weddings"" from TheKnot for 4 years in a row.\r \r *We're the first company in the State of Georgia to be a part of the American Disc Jockey Association.\r \r *We received ""Best Music & Entertainment"" Fox 5 Atlanta's Hotlist.\r \r *We received the 2010 Bride's award from Wedding Wire.\r \r *We have dozens and dozens of event venues that refer us.\r \r The list goes on. The fact of the matter is, we lost a DJ and did our very best to let the client know. Is this the first time said situation happened in 10 years? Of course not. And it won't be the last. But the most positive piece of information we want potential Clients, such as you, to learn is that if your originally booked DJ isn't available, isn't it nice to have the back-up support Avalanche Entertainment provides?\r \r Thank you for reading. Don't use them for your wedding 6/25/2010

Met the DJ we would be having for our wedding, liked him and decided we would move forward with the planning. 3 months later that DJ left. Few weeks after that we received an email from our new DJ and had to schedule another meeting in order to repeat everything we had planned previously. Met with him, determined he should suffice and decided to move forward. He promised to send us a link to online resource where we could plan our music in their system. Never got link. Tried emailing and calling a few times, no response. Sent an email stating we we're going to go somewhere else and would like them to begin processing our refund. There was an IMMEDIATE response to that email trying to get us re-engaged. Responded with no thanks, just process our refund. Quick response in return was ""No refunds on Deposits"" and contact information for another person in the organization. Emailed them stating that we understood deposits are kept if we just randomly cancel, but they messed up and we don't want there service anymore. Also, cancellation is 3 1/2 months out, plenty of time to book another engagement. No response so far. Completely incompetent. Now I have to dispute the charge with my credit card company in order to get my money back. Use at your own risk, unless you want to make planning your wedding more difficult than it already is. APOLOGY 8/14/2009

We wrote a review on Avalanche Entertainment that is not true! We didn't use them (as we thought we chose them; we planned our wedding from out of state), and our review can not be taken off. We were asked nicely from the guys at Avalanche to do this. So, here it is. Avalanche Entertainment was very helpful and nice people. We wish we did use their services! We hired them for our wedding. The show up after the wedding had started. They were suppose to have two cameras they had one. They charged our credit cards and almost six months later no results and no video. HUGE MESS. You have only one chance dont take it here. Pros: AVOID AVOID Cons: AVOID AVOID more

Professional and FUN Wedding DJs 10/9/2006

A company suited to fit your needs for your wedding day! They took care of it all. This company has all of their DJs in the office during the week so that they can be there to plan for you. It was amazing! A fun experience. Pros: Thumbs Up! Cons: N/A more
