I just had to rave about the job Austin Shoe Hospital did on some heels of mine that were looking pretty bad. They needed a facelift and that's exactly what ASH did! Thank you so ...

Terrible, Rude Customer Service. Go to Another Store. 11/28/2010

Their work came undone 2 weeks after wearing the repaired shoe. When I brought it back to be fixed, the lady behind the counter insisted that they did not work on the affected part of the shoe. She then proceeded to tell me that they worked on the toe (which they did not). She kept pushing back and suggested that I was lying. Then, she told me that they won't fix it again, unless I have THEIR work order (even though I supplied a receipt). And finally, as I was leaving, she told me to "have a nice day" (clearly said with sarcasm). Terrible customer service. Very discourteous. They need somebody else working behind the counter. more

Prices have doubled and they don't care 3/7/2010

This is the first revieu i have ever done...i am so dis-pleased with SHoe Hospital that I am writing this...when i used to go there it was $15 for new heels then i took some boots and got charged double that...my $350 boots where LOST and i was told to go home and find the ticket I was so scarred cos i couldn't find the darn thing...then they found them and on top of that (no apology) i got charged DOUBLE...apparently they have not changed thier prices so why did i have to pay double?? crazy making when i questioned it. then to cap it all i went in to get two holes punched in some leather and a name plack put on they usually charge $10 and i was quoted $14.99 EACH they didn't cost me that much..when i called the owner he said it was because i wanted it exact so they tacked on another 10 bucks WHAT ....so i am never going back ...i wanted some acknowlegment so called about wanting a fair price and for some kind of a sorry about that...i did not get an apology and i was just treated like crap...so I am so upset so i bothered to sign up and write this revieu...if you still decide to use these guys go in ready to get a decent price..apparently they have a set price just MAKE SURE they give you the fixed price and not the hiked made up one. more people then ever are coming to get thier shoes mended cos we can't afford to buy like before and they are taking advantage of this. Pros: they charge what they feel like usually double Cons: OVER PRICED more

Warning! Do Not take your shoes here! 12/7/2009

What should have been an easy two day repair turned into a 2 week nightmare. I took the shoe to 183 in Cedar Park, but it really isn't important, they all send them to a factory where a bunch of idiots sit trying to fix our shoes! The first time the shoe came back, it was not repaired- they couldn't figure out how to fix it, even though the left side was still functional and they could copy it! The worst part was that the manager (Terri) said "this isn't the first time these guys messed up on a shoe like this". Why would you tell a customer that? She then told me she'd put a rush on it and have it there on Monday. I asked for a discount for the inconvenience, but she said no! Come on, a 10% discount would have been 80 cents and made me happy about the current situation, but no. I came back on Monday and the shoe was not there, the manager's excuse was that she had no control after it left her store. My question is why did she promise to put a rush on it when she has no authority to do so? I didn't even bother to come back on Tuesday, even though she promised it would be there. Instead I came on Friday, knowing that my shoe MUST be there by then. Nope, wrong again. Apparently, the monkeys at the factory couldn't understand why she had sent it back- they still didn't know how to fix it (the lace should be sewn into the loop). It was then placed on the owner's desk for clarification. As a manager, she should not have told the customer this information- and believe me, I asked her if they had monkeys working there. I tried to contact the owner Carrol Kelly, left him two messages, telling him that I am very upset, etc. and asked him to call me. Four days have gone by and he has not bothered to contact me. I did pick up my shoe today, and I wasn't charged. The manager tried to give me discount coupons but I said "no thanks, I will never come back to this place, ever" Pros: none Cons: the worst service I have received anywhere more

Worst Customer Service 1/23/2009

I would rather travel further for better customer service and more timely repair. Lady at counter is extremely rude which makes me never want to give them my business again! Forget trying to be cordial and just go somewhere else. It took over a month to get a call back a heel repaired . Pros: None Cons: Mean lady always there more
